When your family has been murdered you might think more like me.

I understand your perspective BC1... many of us who know what you are talking about do.. but think hard about this....

Would you care if MY family were murdered in a cross fire between the cops and the robbers in that roadblock? Would it be Ok if my family died as long as the bad guys got caught?

That is the point that is being made here... everyone in the cars between the cops and the bad guys were in danger of being shot in a cross fire ... not because the bad guys were on the loose but because the cops were willing to endanger a bunch of innocents just to catch the bad guys.

Now tell me please BC1.... would you think it Ok if my family were killed just to catch a bad guy? Remember... you are asking me (us) to understand your perspective because of a very horrific and tragic thing done in your life by a bad guy. Would having a tragedy happen to my family be any better just because the cops were the one's who shot my wife and 12 year old grand daughter?

Understanding is a two way street... and I still pray for you to find peace.

Edited to add: No matter how anyone wants to look at this incident... it was the cops who put everyone in danger... not the perps.

Low-ready or ready-retained is not "at gunpoint." My position stands. Ask me and I MIGHT allow you to search. Then again I might not. Point a gun at me and I'm driving away. Take your best shot through the rear window. For those who think by allowing them to look it endangers their family sitting in traffic; that's not my responsibility. The threat to the family is from the actions of LE not me. I'm responsible for my own safety only not the actions of LE. If threatened I'm leaving.
