Sounds more like a problem with the police than the open carry culture.
If only more police, specifically in mass., were as competent as this one.
The citizenry and the police are what make the culture the way it is.

Test the theory that no one grabs an OC gun.
Valid observation. He does give it characteristics I can only remember hearing from Reading Rainbow, and while it is not professional there, some people who represent and instruct about firearms here, have decided it's ok to be unprofessional as well, which I guess in turn makes it ok? The message though is also valid, glad you could still see it past the characterization. Why is it that a legitimate guy like this Ridley and his Org. come across like an idiot? All his points seem to be valid, he points out that the cop does the right thing and the woman who reported it is made to look the idiot, but Ridley and his faces and his voice makes him seem like a nutjob.
Why can't anybody that people might actualy listen to and halfway admire do the same thing?

Do you also carry a mini camcorder and/or an audio recording device?

You must not read gun forums much.
I hear by open carrying, you will be targeted first and/or have your gun taken off of you...just so you know. As far as the assXXX comment, I would have had to ask them to repeat what they said. Most of the time they will say "nothing". You want to act like a moron, i will call you on it. Other comments I would usually let slide or use it to start a conversation as I am normally a friendly guy.

I would also like to point out, relating to another thread, that a meet and greet looks a lot like 2:46-3:00 of the video, where people are dressed in their casual attire picking up trash around the neighborhood, while open carrying. What do you all feel about the presentation that that would gave the public? Not professional enough? Too much shoving the firearm in peoples faces?

Who were you addressing? I have a audio recording widget on my 3VO and a widget that locks the phone but allows it to keep recording. It's not perfect (ie: battery get's pulled, phone gets smashed during recording, the file is not saved. If the phone goes into hibernate/sleep mode to preserve the last % of battery it will save, so as long as the phone is intact while in custody, it should be ok) but it works. I have not had an LEO encounter addressing my firearm since I bought my phone, so I have never had to use it.

I think I seen that video too. Thought it was pretty cool to see armed citizens "adopting a highway" to clean up. Not a meet & greet, or gun march shoving firearms in people's faces at all. Was a good idea showing the positive side to open carry for sure!
I get your point but generally, I believe, the un- gun toting public doesn't see the idiocy that goes on here at times. Ridley is right there in the open at times.
I guess I might be surprised at who really does monitor sites like this and I really surprise myself that this place entertains me so, even though I would not be caught dead with some of the personalties that show themselves here. I am sure there are also those who don't care for my attitude either but it's mine and I take full responsibility
Anyhow, good on Ridley but not sure it's good for us.

.
Such small mindedness just makes me want to keep on them so they start to rant, which in turn makes me laugh and spend the rest of the day smiling just knowing they are seething.
It's one the traits I like least in myself but sometimes you just have to do the things that make you laugh

Well, Navy... it was you. In another post you challenged me to find one occurance of this happening. I was surprised when you listed the article.I have not seen anyone theorizing that no one grabs an OC gun. I was born at night, but not last night.
Do it without a gun and the drug dealers will forbid you are harmed. Bad for business.I seem to remember some rule about not doing it with a gun if you wouldn't do it w/ out a gun.
