"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet."
Matthew 24:6
Yes, there is chaos in the world; there has been sin entered the world. There will be chaos in the world in the future, too, until Jesus Christ rules over the new heaven and earth. No one knows when that will be. The clock for that time doesn't begin ticking until after the Rapture takes place. As Christians, we shouldn't be concerned with making prognostications based on today's news events. God isn't chained to any earthly criteria as to when He sets in motion the end times.
Instead, as Christians, we should be prepared for the Rapture to happen today but never give up our work until that day.
It makes my heart glad to see God's Word put forth (and it won't return void). Just remember, we can plant and water the seed but we can't convict. That's the job of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes it's best to not get in His way.
My post heading is the explanation to your question... Vulnerability is becoming more commonplace in our lives with each passing day. The looming recession, the strange microbes and viruses we're hearing about on the news, the mad dictators testing their hydrogen bombs and long-range missiles, the constant terrorist threats, the specter of war in the Middle East, and politics, and more politics! All the signs of the last days are converging at the same time. Bible Prophecy is happening right before our eyes and like birth pains, the predicted events are happening more frequently and more intently. "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, pestilences and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows". Furthermore, people are not discerning about the perilous times in which we live, and there is a deep depth of apathy regarding Bible prophecy and the nearness of the Lord's return. It's safe to say that the majority of Americans, and many Christians, are clueless about how current geopolitical conditions point to the nearness of Jesus' return because they don't study Bible prophecy or simply ignore it all together. That's a shame because there are things happening all around us that point to the fact that this world is growing darker, more volatile, and more desperate with each passing day. With so many end times Bible prophecies seemingly on the brink of fulfillment, the events that are occurring now on a daily basis can only lead us to conclude that the end of this age approaches rapidly. MARANATHA!Ringo, I'm new to this forum, so if I'm asking you a question that you've already answered, I apologize.
My question is, why do you include a long list of current news headlines with each of your posts?
Extreme debilitating paranoia
Really sad
Cute, but childish.... a step up from your play school normal. You know, an age group that still believes in fairy tales.
OBTW, zombies are also imaginary just like the rest of your imaginary friends.
At least I'm improving.
Tx: No matter what improvements you make, they will never be enough when discussing religion on here. There are those who love to sharpshoot and, no matter what you say, you will always be considered to be wrong. I was reading an article yesterday that seemed to be an appropriate response to naysayers. The reasoning is very simple and is the defining answer to all who want to criticize people over religion, or any other concept:
"Please, don't go around poking fun or tossing around the "I told you so!"s. The biggest danger in faith (or lack thereof) is when people believe what they want to believe, defending against any and all evidence (to the contrary); especially when that evidence is the ego trap: rejecting/criticizing others for being unlike you." Comments in parenthesis are mine.
Keep plugging along and don't let anyone get you down!
It's all good. I am very secure in my relationship with Christ. He made us all unique and gifted me with a childlike heart and personality.

( Matthew 18:3 )
"Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven".
Yes, it's all good, very good. Because we're His children we call God “Abba Father.” The word Abba is an Aramaic word that would most closely be translated as “Daddy.” It signifies the close, intimate relationship of a father to his child, as well as the childlike trust that a young child puts in his “daddy.”
