Do you still conceal carry into posted "No Carry" businesses?

It is up to us as individuals to decide whether or not to infringe on the right of a property owner to deny entry and trespass by entering property that we know we do not have permission to be there. Doesn't matter if we get caught at it and/or suffer legal penalties or not... trespass is still trespass. But it is discouraging to see folks who want their right to bear arms not be infringed infringing upon the property owner's right to deny access to his property.

I'm sure anyone who has been following my posts is aware of my position so whether folks agree with me or not I'm done with this discussion.

Who Cares? As a free man, I go about my business as I see fit, armed if I wish to be.... (which is always) I also do NOT "infringe" on anyone elses RIGHTS, regardless of the opinion of some......
 
HEY People..... are we talking about a BUSINESS PROPERTY or PRIVET PROPERTY as is a farm???
Are we going to throw a person out if he is carrying concealed and you don't see it or know he is carrying concealed?
I do believe there is a lot of misunderstanding of each other.
If a Person is properly carrying concealed NO ONE ever need to know except the person carrying!
 
The Walmart Anti-violence Policy prohibits knives and firearms to be carried while working. I don't carry my gun while working but I do use my 3" jackknife for cutting shrink wrap and cardboard, although they prefer we use a Walmart approved box cutter. When I come in to shop at my store I don't leave my gun outside. They don't have a say in what I do off the clock.

I do carry concealed every day and don't take it off to go into the library or DMV offices (contractors run them). I use the drive through windows at the bank and let the dealers provide me with the best car loan.

I'm of the opinion that if/what I carry is my private business. A business could post a "no underwear" sign and I would treat it the same: non of their business.
 
If it were legally signed, I'd think twice. If not, I won't even give it a second thought. As pointed out, what's the worst thing that is going to happen, they're just going to ask me to leave. Their loss. COSTCO officially has a no weapons policy but around here they've never bothered to put a sign up so what? It wasn't until I heard someone griping on the forums about it that I found that they had a policy. I've been CC'ing into Costco ever since I got my permit.
 
Flyinhgron - Same here. My girlfriend and I go to Costco all the time and I always carry there , although I carry everywhere so Costco is no different. I am certain I'm not the only one, since so many cars have "NRA" and "State of Jefferson" stickers on them in the parking lot (I live in Northern California, in a shall issue county). In fact, my girlfriend and I play the "guess who else is carrying game" based on clothing graphics and bulges. I guess I got a little off topic. I will absolutely not respect a no firearms sign because they aren't respecting safety, so they can screw off. Plus, signs don't have the force of law in California, except of course for trespassing.

I personally always want to follow the laws. I would never want to jeopardize loosing my permit nor give conceal carry holders a bad name. There are enough people looking for any excise to take our guns away.
However, some business that are posted I just don't agree with :) like say The Movie Theater. There was a little small no handguns sign that I had to actually look hard for on the side window of the ticket booth. Not on the front window of the booth and not on any of the doors but on the side window right next to the "no cell phone" sign (yea right, no cell phone). I almost missed the stupid no gun sign.

I took my gun back to my truck and went to see the movie anyway. Before I left, I actually talked to the Manager after the movies and brought up the question as to what would happen to someone who brought their CC weapon in even thought it was posted not to. Then come some crazy person, mad at the world with his gun and starts shooting. That make the CC holder have to pull their weapon to protect people and or themselves. The "bad guy" was shot, hurt and/or killed. Would they press charges against the CC holder for bringing their weapon in when they had a no handgun policy or would they overlook the fact the carried CC holder saved lives and or their own life.

The manager said "Good question, I'll have to ask my boss and see what they say." I haven't heard back yet. Go figure, but I'm going to push it and see what kind of answer they come up with.

What do you do? Carry in anyway? Put your weapon back in the car and go in? Just don't do business with them and go somewhere else that allows you to carry?

ABC... Always be carrying.

If the signs do not carry the force of law I will always carry. In my state the don't.
 
I'll be going to Baltimore Maryland in a cpl weeks and a little concerned about a "No Carry State". Haven't checked there knife laws yet in carrying a KaBar folder with pocket clip. Pretty sure it's not allowed either. Maybe fingernail clippers ok? It's one thing to go in a business with a sign and the possibility of a felony. I'm glad I live and travel in free states where not just the criminals have guns.

My father and brother were flying out of O’Hare to Egypt and then on to Greece for a 5 week trip. While going through security my father had his toe nail clippers confiscated along with a nail file and some large liquid toilet articles (mouthwash and cologne), which is understandable with the current intervention of the TSA in our attempts to provide a secure flying experience (I would like to call BS on this whole fiasco).

Further inside the concourse on their way to board the plane after having been cleared by TSA to fly, Dad stopped to get a magazine to read and found for sale almost the exact toe nail clipper and nail file that had been confiscated by TSA not more than 10 minutes prior. So again I would like to call BS on this whole process…so the question arises in this case if you purchase replacements before your flight takes off and something happens during the flight have you been promoted to terrorist status, just because you need as a diabetic to maintain certain conditions regarding your toes.

This what we get from "unionized" Federal Workers! Totally inept and do not know schit! Now if your father had worn mid-eastern cloths and had a bazooka in his luggage they would have passed him through without a second look. May even carried his bag to the gate for him!!! :biggrin:
