Do Christians smoke weed?

I have a "friend" who says she's Christian but smokes dope (just not in Muskogee). Can you be a Christian and smoke weed

Yes some Christians smoke weed. There are Christians who have cancer or glaucoma who use it medically, and there are Christians who have an addiction to weed, just like there are Christians with other addictions such as cigarettes, alcohol, porn, idols, etc. What makes a Christian a Christian is their belief in Jesus Christ as their saviour, no other faults matter with that relationship intact.

Being a Christian doesn't make us perfect.

Ok let me say it this way I don't understand the idea I'm a republican I don't vote for obama. I'm a Christan I don't put an illegal drug in my body. I don't get the concept It's like being a communist capitalist to me

You can do what ever you want except have a career in politics. Somethings are just unforgivable. LOL

What's the correlation between Christians and drugs? One has nothing to do with the other. You're talking about faith and what the government decided to ban. There's no tie whatsoever. Let's talk about how some Christians molest, rob and kill- there's a better topic.

ABC News reported marijuana to be the largest cash crop in America in 2006. According to PewResearch Christianity is the most common religion in America at roughly 78%. I think the numbers speak for themselves. I also don't believe the two are connected in any way.

A believer in Christ doesn't need Marijauna. We are high on Jesus 24/7. What a awsome trip.

Christians are guilty of every sin.

That's one thing a lot of people may not understand. But, you are correct. Fortunately, Jesus bore the whole wrath of God and became every sin for us. Now, we can freely & boldly approach our FATHER in Heaven and receive His mercy & grace and know that He is faithful & just to forgive us.

Drugs of any kind (including RX), can be a very dangerous and bad thing. But, if a person has not achieved the level of faith to receive healing, I don't thing God would punish someone that sought treatment from a doctor that may prescribe any medication. But, knowing that God has made provision to meet a persons every need & pleasure in Him through Jesus, why would anyone want to take drugs or do somethings they did before they found Christ?

Doing things God's way always brings the best high you can get!

Perhaps we can talk about bad & extreme things some Christians have done. But, I think they all would pale to bad things NON-Christians have done.

The wonderful thing about a loving God is He has made the provision for forgiveness for Christians & non-Christians alike. Perhaps we can talk about God's love & forgiveness in Jesus. (That's a subject really worth discussing!)

So once I'm saved I can do what ever I want?

Being a Christian comes with one really important concept. That concept is that mankind is so totally depraved that not one could live the perfect life and fulfill God's law in order to enter the kingdom of heaven. In order to do so, one had to pay our debt of sin by first living the perfect life, and then taking on the sin of the world on his shoulders by becoming a curse (one who hangs on a tree is a curse). This one, is Jesus Christ. Therefore, if one has a relationship with Jesus Christ and believes in him, then that is all that is required to enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus Christ did the work for us as a free gift unto us; a gift that we did not deserve except for the fact that God loved us, despite our depravity. Now, having this relationship and knowing what God has done for us, one would think that we would no longer wish to sin. And this is true, we no longer wish to sin, but sin is still a part of all of us, so all us, Christian or not do still sin. The one who decides to continue sinning on purpose thinking that "it doesn't matter, God loves me anyway and all I have to say is I believe", really does not believe and would not be thinking this way.

Your marijuana question should be answered in there.

Nope I'm still not buyin' it. I know that if I were ever to be caught with marijuana I would lose my right to own a gun so I don't use marijuana. So A christian can't put down marijuana to keep from going to Hell? It makes no sense to me. Call me a troll all you want my mind simply will not grasp that concept

What makes you believe smoking marijuana makes one go to hell?

becuase I believe and obviously this can't be proved it opens you up to demonic influence.

I'm not trying to be a smart ass about this I really can not wrap my brain around the concept of following Jesus and smoking dope. I am damn sure I couldn't do it.
