Canton police officer who threatened to execute concealed carry licensee.........

Of course he wants his job back; he can't get free gas, groceries and utilities, but being "mentally disabled by PTSD" could pose a problem.

"Harless was placed on medical leave and other officers donated their sick days to him when his paid sick-leave time ran out."

That scares the hell outta me.. the whole department donated sick days to keep this guy on the payroll?!

What scares me is him in court while too ill to attend his own hearing. How many other cases has he tainted?

You've got to be kidding me. I can't threaten to execute someone at work and expect to keep my job. And I don't even have a job that issues me the tool I threatened to use in an execution.

Those same cops who donated time to keep this potential killer on the force longer expect to put on a badge, uniform, weapons, and then go into the public realm to make decisions regarding fundamental right and wrong in varying situations. I wouldn't trust them to make the right decisions about disputes made by lab rats! Is there not one decent cop there who can see this is wrong and say the truth out loud and in public?

Walking Time Bomb

Is trying to get his job back. God help us! This man is walking time bomb and will eventually mame or kill someone.

I agree that this man is an ongoing threat to the public. We as a group need to continually monitor this situation and make certain that this bad cop with the questionable excuse of PTS never again be allowed to legally carry, whether in uniform or as a civilian.

If he continues to carry illegally, then he belongs in jail.

I inquired about this case awhile back and I'm glad to see that others are doing the same. We are a national group and should be able to keep track of this potential threat, so as to keep him from ever carrying again.

I will get fired for telling an "insensitive" joke.

Yeah it's a tight brotherhood, imagine what goes on in big cities

Oh lawdy! Dat man is crazy! Seriously though, I hope he never is able to wear a uniform again, even an unarmed security guard.

I've been waiting to hear more about this hate-filled, angry, candidate for anger management cop. Until it can be proven, wi thout a shadow o a oubt,m that he is no longer a danger to the public, I'd be loathe to have him in any position of any type in which he is armed in any way. The cop-cam video, shown some months ago, was downright scary and I feel for the kid who had to face him. This bad cop's partner is nearly as much at fault because he did nothing to try to defuse the bad cop's raging.

I'd be interested to know what happened to the partner, as well.

my personal Facebook page, which began as nothing more than a personal diary of sorts, has evolve into an animal welfare and animal abuse page and the many poorly trained, angry, cowardly or stupid cops who shoot peoples' beloved pets are about as bad as the OH cop. These bad cops are shooting dogs in their own yards, in their own homes in wrong address raids, when the dog Is trying to protect its master or mistress from a complete stranger (sometime they're service dogs and marked a such, and they've even killed a 13 yo cocker spaniel) and, more often than not, when the dog is doing nothing more than trying to check out this new person visiting or when the dog Is trying to escape. I'm overjoy when I can post an article about a good police officer or fireman or lay person who saved an animal's life.

I have run into my share of good police officers and bad cops. FYI, I'm a white, reasonably preentable and, darn it, older Ele3ctrical Engineer, and I still have the occasional run-in with what I conside4r a dangerous cop. Fortunately, I've not had the misfortune of running into someone like the OH cop who flew off the handle even before the boy finally got to point out that he's newly licensed to carry concealed. My permit is at the front of my wallet to whip out, first thing, even before my driver's license. I'm reluctant to do that, though, because, with all we've heard about the few dangerous cops out there, it worries me that he woulod want me disarmed before continuing our interchange.

Don't take this a a general badmouthing of all law enforcement personnel, but there are the dangerous ones, out there, and one must be very careful in dealing with all of them, just in case.. As I said, I've also had dealing with good, professional policemen and policewomen and hope very much to have them respond when I need assistance.

The bad ones need to be fired and/or put in jail and the good ones deserve raises, as far as I'm concerned.

By the way, when writing qbout these dangerous cops on my blog or Facebook, I often refer to them as Barney Fifes, although I'm not sure they should even have the one bullet in their shirt pockets, either.

The Fraternal Order of Police is a virulent, anti second amendment organization. They also tend to support their members no matter how egregious the offence. I am very pro law enforcement; but bad LEOs are dangerous to every citizen, including other cops. The police can only operate effectively and safely when they have the support of a large majority of the citizens. When they behave as a brutal army of occupation, they lose that vital public support. This Canton officer is a serious danger to himself, other citizens, and and fellow LEOs.

Oath Keepers is an organization primarily composed of present and retired first responders and military. The oath that they support is to the U.S. Constitution and individual liberty. They support the law abiding citizens and their rights. The greatest danger that our Republic faces is from a out of control government and public employees at all levels who consider themselves to be above the law and Constitution. We are quickly becoming a post constitutional country; and the opportunity to reverse this transition is almost gone.

I saw the videos. Last I heard the officer in question was reinstated under certain conditions. Anyone know if this was the final disposition?
