I'm sure some new laws are coming. I can live with a ban on assault rifles. Also can live with a limit on rounds of ammo you buy each month. But we also need more places to allow concealed carry.

This is the problem... you're okay with another's rights being hindered as long as it doesn't affect YOUR personal "likes". NO!!! IF YOU SUPPORT THE 2A, YOU MUST SUPPORT IT ACROSS THE BOARD FOR EVERYONE!!! To do it any other way leaves the minority at the mercy of the majority. Our Republic, yes republic, is not a "majority rules" system... a majority rules system is poison to individual liberty!

You obviously do not understand the purpose of the 2A... please go educate yourself. Read The Second Amendment Primer, as well as our Founders literature about firearms and our gov't.

So interesting to read and learn that so few people realize that the gun control laws aren't really protecting anyone. All they are doing is keeping the honest law abiding citizen from implementing their 2A rights and keeping certain politicians in office. The criminals, crazies or even the wanna be terrorist will find and get what they need to kill. The Colorado theater shooting. if there was just one person there that night that had a gun and was able to take that son of ***** down before he fired a second or third round what would you call him. A damn hero in my book, but Nooooooooooo....gun control laws prevent the honest person from protecting themselves or others and all they could do was hide under the seats. Where the hell was security, oh wait......gun control laws are in effect and we are perfectly safe because our state law says carrying fire arms in certain areas are illegal and security is not needed. Typical though, a hunter may say, I don't care about a ban on .50 Cal guns. Even though his 20 ga and up is 50 cal.
An assault on one is an assault on us all.

Incremental gun control may be the name of this game. Can you not see that by not standing up when these "reasonable measures" are proposed that the door is being open wider for the progressive's real game to get in? If you don't have access to ammo, what do you need a gun for? That will be the next "reasonable" thing they come out with. I don't own any black rifles at this time, the economy being what it is, but friends of mine do, amd i enjoy shooting them. Like another fellow here said, even your 20 gague is over fifty caliber, did you by any chance hear they'd like to ban 50 caliber guns also? They didn't mention shotguns specifically? Don't worry, they will get around to it. I own some black powder guns that well exceed 50 caliber, and they get shot. Should I be handing them in because black powder is explosive, or because my 4 bore actually beats 50 caliber by more than twice the diameter?

It seems that your reasoning is that if what they want to legislate against doesn't effect you it's no big deal, but believe me, it is. I'm sure others have said or will say the same things better, but you need to wake up here.

Does anyone know of an online source with the best prices or are they all pretty competitive? I've checked out luckygunner.com, cheaperthandirt.com, and bulkammo.com. They all seem to be relatively the same. Am I missing anything?

Some things must be done to stop idiots from killing people. To me handguns and maybe a shotgun are more than enough personal defense.

REALLY???? I fire that in one trip to the range... Are you really that naive to believe banning guns and restricting ammo sales will keep people from killing? Did you not ready my first post about the guy they charged with mass murder trying to poison people with bleach? The impliment is not the issue it is the demented mind that committed the act. I can kill just as easily with my car and a baseball bat but nobody wants to ban me from driving down to the ballpark and playing baseball.... Maybe we should take a closer look at our society and try to figure out why people snap.... Holmes could have just as easily used a gas can and an oxygen bottle and caused far more destruction... Motivated indivduals with do whatever they need to do complete their evil deed..... What he did was against the law, both moral and legal but those laws didn't stop him. Do you think he said to himself, "better not do this it is against the law"?? I think not, Sir... I think not......

600 a month? I guess you don't shoot much. Might as well ban whatever you own because it isn't being used anyways. Even with 5 second rules at ranges that still comes down to 12 rounds per minute and only a total of 50 minutes of shooting. With 5 minute breaks every 15 minutes that only comes down to a little over 1 hour at the range.

I bought 600 rounds of 9mm alone this week. There will be 1000 rounds of 5.56mm bought next week and atleast 1/4th of it will be gone by the end of the night. On top of about half the 9mm.
