Forgetting one thing. In America he is innocent until proven guilty. He doesn't have to prove his innocence with things like a spent round. The complainant has the burden of proof.

Ok assuming he got away with it would it be worth the hassle? I guess that's a question only the OP can answer.

That said ,I have to agree with Kwimby. I am convinced the OP saw a chance to use his gun to intimidate those folks and he was an absolute Richard about doing it then came here to brag about doing it

That I agree with. He used poor judgment and thought he was Billy Badass, and his OP definitely comes off as bragging about it. However, just because he's under the impression owning a gun increases his pen1s size, doesn't make it illegal.

I don't believe we can say he intimidated anyone. Hearing a shot down the road won't stop two wankers from beating each other. Probably only coincidental that the fighting stopped. I just can't find where any LEO even has cause to enter the property without some direct threat. There was none in the description of the event.

As a side thought... my wife burned something on the stove last week and the alarm system triggered the FD ad PD. The alarm company called, found out it was smoke from cooking and cancelled the call but the FD and PD came anyway. I asked them why and they said our policy is to check the house anyway, not to rely on the homeowner to decide if there's sill a threat. Then the LEO wanted to go inside and check everything. I said "no." He continued "we have to, it's required." Once again, "sorry, no. Thanks for being prompt and I'll send a donation to the FD."

People always think they understand others' thinking. They base it on how they might themselves think or react. I believe it's a reflection of themselves. And the whole pecker size thing detracts from any valid argument the other guy has. As soon as he makes the pecker-size comment he loses me. I personally like a short-barreled pocket rocket. Reading past replies, some good, some a waste of time and space. What Axeanda did appears legal in his state, and I don't care about the motives of his post. Some replies say you have a right to behave a certain way, so who cares what others think.
This is a general concern and not directed necessarily to this thread- One thing that concerns me is how others perceive our actions! We are at war with the antigunners. And in this case, if Axeanda's neighbor's did call Johnny Law and exaggerated the circumstances, even though he was within his right- if Johnny Law was against the 2nd ammendment this incident could have received a whole lot of negative press- and here we are, a bunch of gun toating rednecks! We dont need to be be giving the media or any of the antigunners the amunition they need to make their case.
