What Do You Carry?

Mauser HSc (Germany)(.32ACP)
The Mauser HSc pistol was developed by famous Germany arms company Mauser circa 1937. The overall shape of the gun is streamlined and allows for easy concealment, even a front sight blade is concealed within longitudinal groove on the top of the slide. Magazine release catch is located at the bottom of the butt, magazine fllorplates featured a finger lip for more comfortable grip.

Mine is in like new shape well maintained and easy to carry and shoot. It was made prior to WWII.:wink:

How does the 32 shoot/handle? Is it up to a 15 yard shooter or closer?
They can be small and compact and I know widely used overseas.

I've thought about 32 ACP quite a few times but opted for a 380, ammo options & availability.
I don't trust my accuracy with my 380 over 20 yards but within 15 yards great point and shoot.

15 to 20 max for accuracy. I learned to purchase 32 ACP when I see it on the shelf. I also have a nice 380, but it is heavier and kicks more. So it stays home or goes with me as a spare.

HK USP .45 full size main, XD compact 9 BUG, spare mags for all. HK is good to 100 yards, I can plant 6 out of 10 in the stop em zone with head shots and COM with the rest in the hurt like heck zone. Have the TLR-2 as a deterrent for high pucker factor times....

Glock 37. Good size and the 45GAP packs a punch. Not popular but works for me.

I can't recall anyone saying they carried a .22 magnum, either as a bug or primary. I don't have one but have thought about acquiring same, maybe an NAA. Anyone have ideas on this caliber?

Some time ago I aquired a Taurus PT1911 which replaced my tuned and modified Modelo 1927, thousands of rounds through each, I can't complain..

On the cooler days I have a Sig P229 duo-tone in a MTAC.

On the warmer days when it's just a t-shirt, then it's the Glock 27 in a cheapo Uncle Mike's. (or a Smart Carry if I have to go super-stealth.)

Either way, I'm good to go. :biggrin:

what do you carry

Started At Nevada Carry:

Everyone has an opinion, and so this is just another.... but for my size, 5' 8", I like my glock 23..
However I have three main carry pieces, and all depends on the time of year..My Glock is a little bulky
for deep concealment.. the others are firestar .40, firestar .45, and Colt Commander.45
I have high rise, hip, for all of them but I've had a great deal of success with a "Smart Carry" holster
that hangs in front of the boys... If clothing is too tight, the firestar will print just a little, but has not
caused any difficulty.. And the rest of them are used when heavy clothing is in vogue....The Smart Carry
is actually very comfortable, after getting used to it being there... and the Colt, and Firestars are thinner
and easier to conceal.. I tried a Clock 27 (sub compact .40) it's nice and small, but still a little bulky when
compared to my others... problem I found, even with my small hands, was that with the 27, there was no
place for my pinky finger... and that is uncomfortable to shoot..(for me, anyway)..

22 magnum is a sweet shooter, and packs a punch.... out shoots some of the bigger boys...
check your balistics tables, and you will find them pretty inviting.. It's just my opinion, but it's base on several years as a Police Officer, and I did carry a twice barreled peek-a-pop..(derringer) found it to be more accurate
than a .38, in the same sized weapon... but that is just my experience, and others will not agree.. It is
true, however, that it was not my only bug...

I carry the Kel-Tec P3AT with CT laser in my front pocket.

If I could dress differently though, I'd probably carry my XD-45 or XD-40 SC.

What I carry

I alternate between a Steyr (yes I said STEYR) M 40 and a Springfield XD 9. The Styer is circa 2000 and I had some ejection issues originally which drove me to get the XD. I E mailed Steyr in Alabama and they sent me a new extractor, spring, and pin at no charge. I installed these and the gun runs like a new clock. Both are fine guns. The Steyr holds 12 + 1 & the XD 15 +1. When I go to the range I try to give each one equal time so my proficency stays about the same. The Steyr fits my hand slightly better. XD is cheaper to shoot!

What do I carry

I carry a Springfield EMP 40 about half the time. The rest of the time I carry a 1911 in .45ACP, either a Kimber SIS Pro, Kimber Pro Covert or Springfield TRP. When in the woods, my trail guns are a S & W Model 29 Classic in .44 mag or a S & W Thunder Ranch .357 mag.

I will be adding a 1974 Browning Hi Power to the list of handguns I carry. I was fortunate enough to find one in essentially unfired condition. It came from an estate sale--original box, cleaning rod and papers. Absolutely beautiful gun.

Started At Nevada Carry:

It's lite. You put it in a paddle hoster on your left side and tilt it in a little. Alum. jacket rounds. Quite comfortable. It's a cheap arm but I have put over 200 rounds through it without a single jam. Sites need a little windage adjustment. But at 30 feet, I would feel confident.
And if you can't knock down the devil with a 9mm, your screwed!

I recently picked up a Charter Arms Southpaw snub .38 Spl. That is my every day in my pocket gun. On non work days when I'm not in a tie I still keep the Southpaw in the pocket with a speed loader in the opposite pocket and my Taurus PT145 Millenium Pro on my hip in an Uncle Mikes IWB(I have a Don Hume JIT slide that I like better but it's not as deep for warm days and works best with a coat). The wheel gun is in a Uncle Mikes sidekick #3 by the way. Also a Mossberg 590 in the trunk of the car just in case. My next "man purse" carry gun though will likely be the way my dad has gone and that is with the AK pistol, very nice, and terribly fun to shoot.

Carry Gun?

I carry both a Smith & Wesson M&P .45 and a Kel-Tec P3AT "P" shooter .380 in my pocket for "social settings" - both found to be sweet machines on the range...I'm planning on purchasing a Beretta PXStorm - any input from my online friends would be greatly appreciated - I've handled one at the gun shop, and fallen in love - I'd like to feel one moving in my hands soon?! Anyone had that feeling?
