Waffle House Shooting (Good Guy Wins)

Why is there a problem with someone responding to posts that are directed at them? Maybe you can find a remedial forum out there designed for third grade comprehension levels that would be better for you.

Oh...sorry:

I`m so sorry for hurting your feelings "Princess". My bad
I just realized that with your tendency toward cowardice, your obvious levels of estrogen and the fact that you are from MassaCHEWsetts ......... Barney Frank MUST be your mother !!!!
You mean I`ve been talking with Massachusetts Royalty??
Had I known, I would never have been so insensitive to your "delicate" situation. Please forgive me.
When Barney retires she can spend more time at home with you and everything will be OK! Promise Cupcakes

Man it's amazing how fast a thread can turn to utter 8th grade crap after B2 enters it. Granted he isn't partaking in the name calling, his presence was the beginning and he seems to be fueling the rage inside Rich...Lead's insults aren't helping much either, but I guess you have to fight fire with fire?

There is a lot of assuming and speculating coming from both sides, by comparing extremes on either side, or comparing life and money. I am going to say there are millions that would defend another innocent in the face of death even if they did not have a firearm. So while you can have thousands that are too afraid to talk on an online chat board or draw their firearm to save another, I am happy in the fact there are millions of rambos in this world that are indeed saving people.

In the end it seems there are two major sides. The cowards and the rambos. Each one feels the other is wrong, each one feels sorry for whoever has to be near the opposite during a robbery. I don't see this changing, I don't care for being a coward, but I know I sure as hell wouldn't let one die.

I have a question for B2...that's if he even gets this message since I believe to be on his ignore list. If you feel there is no need to defend yourself or another during a robbery like the OP because 96% do not become robbery homicide...why do you not open carry when 96% aren't chosen as victims in the first place? From what I remember, you don't like to open carry, because that 4% chance (which is probably closer to .01% chance) of being disarmed or chosen because you are open carrying...yet you won't defend the life of another on the 4% chance they will die. I understand your point on the chances of becoming a fire fight go to 100% if you engage the criminal, but same goes for when you conceal your firearm and become the 99% of victims that were seemingly, and most likely, unarmed.

What was the OP about? I forgot reading all this "stuff" back and forth. Granted I may have encouraged or participated in some.

Leadpoison, you have my respect being a fellow South Carolinian and from Spartanburg. Everyone's opinion is just that, an opinion. Who's knows for sure how any of us would have acted in we were actually in the situation.

I've had a few good laughs reading all this "stuff". I sometimes poke fun at people and don't mind a little my way, all in the name of a good laugh at each other. If Rich_S wants to go his way, at least I know who to point out to the BG if I'm ever up his way.

Poke......

Your right rrmann.
The point has gotten lost in all the crap slinging.

To wrap it all up:

BG comes in and waives gun.
Hero utilizes his legal and moral right to end situation.
Hero is praised on gun forum.
Two cowards cry and wet their pants.
Point of thread is lost

In the end ....... "Sir Raps-a-Lot" is justifiably dead. Hero and 10 others will live to see another day.

Ain`t it a glorious thing !!!

Im done. Hope to see Y`all on another thread one day!

Cheers

Diddo my friend. Good debating both ways. Now if I could just manage to get away from this thread.

One last thing. Did I spell "diddo" right? Aww, nevermind.

how do you do that?

Well those would be the first guards I've seen in close 1000 trips into a bank lobby over the last 15 years (more if you count the nearly 15 yrs of banking I did in NJ). Still doesn't change my assertation that bank guards are rare very rare on the whole. As a matter of fact it only supports it.....that and the FBI stats that say that guards were present in only 220 of the 5600 bank robberies in 2010. In any case, I'll stop by that WF branch sometime soon just to make sure it's not just an empty car parked there for effect. Google Earth's "street view" is a wonderful thing.
I know it's not just the empty car trick. I've talked to them a number of times. You'll also find the car/SUV engine running and the A/C on at times. And K-9 work dog in the back.

PS: The Google street scene view is from the Wachovia to WF changeover time. But yes, that is where the car or SUV is normally located during bank hours.

Armed Guards in Banks?

My Buddy in Chicago runs a large Security Company, the parent company is Canadian. He has armed guards in Banks.

My Sons Company has armed Security Officers who respond to requests from a central employment agency, to be deployed to ATM external locations, when technicians are dispatched, not all tec's use guards, most do.

Some of these locations are not so nice! After bank hours, you only have ATM customers, and individuals who use the night deposit chute.

You can use traffic cones to keep the lanes close to you blocked off.

We have one we respond to, the local Police do drive buys when they see us there! "Hi, how's it goin?" I think if they are nervous, we should be as well!

Playing with I phones is a no-no, I use a blue tooth ear piece, "Call you back" The potential for danger is high on this job.

Click on the trolls name and when it pulls up their information there is an option to add to block list, or the Rich_S list, whatever you want to call it.

I don't think Rich_S is the troll. On just about any other gun forum this name calling would have already resulted in about half a dozen bans. That's one of the primary reasons I don't take this forum seriously>

I haven't been on these forums (or any other) long enough to easily spot a troll if there was one. What's a good sign of one?

The name calling and all did go a little far though.
