New to forum

Hello from North Central Ohio.
I am a long time gun owner, hunter, reloader and have CCW for 6 years. I'm an Army vet (Korean War), ex-LEO, former Muni Court Bailiff, former councilman, and retired from U S Steel, Lorain Works (44 years).
I'm glad to be aboard!!
 
Hello everyone! I am a soon to be new class 1 permit holder (waiting for it to come in the mail) from North Dakota. Let me tell you about myself...I am a 30 yr old married man with 2 kids and a dog. I was born and raised in MN and moved to ND about 12 years ago. I work as a locomotive engineer and I love to hunt and fish. I have been shooting all of my life and will be carrying a couple of my favorite guns. A Sig Sauer GSR Revolution STX or a Kimber Ultra CDP II.

Anyway, I hope I wasnt too personal. I look forward to getting my feet wet in the world of concealed carry.

Well, SPC is Specialist 1 rank below Sergeant. ARNG is short for Army National Guard... OIF/OEF stands for Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom.

Thank you for your service Military Man. I hope that more currently returning Vets are running for all offices all across the nation. BTW just returned from a great trip through Texas. Lots of Ammo all calibers and especially sidearms, in the Bass Pro and Cabela's. Cabela's price on Bersa 380 semi-auto equipped with Crimson Trace grips, is $499 US. A Stoeger 9MM and 40 cal is $399 US. Finally the shortage is ending. Even Walmart is getting stock on their low priced practice ammo. "Keep Our Second Ammendment strong"...

Just the opposite for me, Viet Nam in the Army and retired from the Corps. Also a Police Officer. Welcome and Welcome Home.
 
Hello Everyone,

Permit secured, and I will be carrying from now on. Posting from Northern Nevada (Reno) and happy to be part of people being responsible for themselves. My CCW instructor told me that the average weapons encounter lasts about 10 seconds and has 5 to 7 shots fired. Where in this statement do you find " Call for help" ? Keep em clean and keep em close.....Locoman

Just got my New York CCP! Never had too great an interest in handguns... until now. Just bought a pistol and holster and after putting a bunch of ammo through it I am addicted!

I'm new. Name is Curt and I live in Maine. I generally carry wherever I go and am looking forward to some OC events in Maine and NH.

Anybody here have info on the OC event in Portland ME this coming Sunday?
