Greetings to all.

I am a new member residing in Australia, with a view to move to the USA as soon as I can afford it (hence my handle; AussieEscapist). I have been in the military for three years and have deployed overseas as a rifleman. I have joined to learn as much as I can from you guys (and girls) in regards to the laws and customs of your various states, to see where I'd like to move to. I own several firearms here, and have used many different Class III firearms with my work.

I hope I can fit in okay, even though I'm not (yet) and American, and I hope to bring some of my knowledge to the table as well.

Cheers,
AussieEscapist

Welcome,I am very interested in your story. I am an avid supporter of gun rights. I know how oppressive Australia's gun laws are. I live in the U.S. in the state of Maine. Please E mail me at the following address with any questions you have. I will be happy to TRY to answer them for you. I also have a few questions for you. Good luck in your endeavor. jhrobyn@aol.com

This is a early welcome from Ohio, I believe you will find a warm welcome in the States. We do have some anti-gun nuts and a few who would like to take away our God given rights that might not welcome you but you already have to deal with that type where you are. So come on over.

AE,

Come on over! Australians are well respected here in the States. Brothers from another mother and all that.

I think you will find the States very refreshing regarding gun laws. Just have to move the right states! Here in SC we can own anything not banned by the Fed, which means SBRs, Suppressors, Machine Guns, etc. You better bring some skills so you can make enough money to support the habit!

Feel free to contact mer personally, starting with a PM on this site.

@alex from N Virginia. Welcome, I hope the elections go well for the Conservative movement everywhere, whether it's through 'The Blue dogs' or any other source. Out with the regulating, restrictive 'Socialists' . Return to Freedom and Liberty :>)

Hello everyone, I'm new here so go easy on me...lol

Hello, my name is Richard. I turned 63 January 11. My wife Barbara & I live in Shrewsbury, PA. Been here since 1978.

I've been carrying concealed for almost 5 years now. I received training from our lieutenant with our local police at 2 separate classes where I did get certification. As soon as I fully recover from some surgery, I plan to get back to the shooting range (indoor range).

I would like to make one very important note here. I can not stress enough on knowing the whereabouts of your weapon at all times, and making sure it is secure.

I had one recent incident at a restaurant once where when I went to the restroom. I thought I had full control of my handgun. As I was putting myself back together in the stall, there was one man washing his hands. All of a sudden, my in the pants holster fell to the floor <ka-plunk> I never scarfed up my holstered gun so fast in all my life as I feared the worse!

I was damn lucky! It wasn't spotted. Lesson learned, big time! Know where your weapon is at all times and make sure it is safe & secure as well. I am looking into a different holster now. I am considering one I saw here on this site you have with your cell phone. Anyway, itwas nice meeting you all, and look forward to stopping in from time to time.

Hello All. Good forum. I've contributed to a couple of threads so far (appear to have killed one).

I'll be 56 in March (on James Madison's birthday). I've been carrying since I was 21. It's a Right and a Duty.

I look forward to the day ALL states go with Vermont (Alaska) Carry.

I hope to contribute something good. I live in the restrictive state we love to call NY, but that's all well and good...

I am a Public Safety Professional, having been Military, Security, Fire, EMS, Search & Rescue, L.E.

Working on getting my Official "Creds" as a Firearms Instructor.
