Well, at our age, wife and me or is it I, we are not bugging out we have planned to bug in and lay down a suppressing fire for the kids and grand kids to play Red Dan in the Mt.s. As I tell an old buddy we are delusional to believe we may once again jump high, hit the deck a running and not break a bone or have a heart attack. Not gloating just stating fact. You are very naive if you think it can't or won't happen. When our economy collapses and it will and sooner than you may think we become the target of attack since we are in a weakened and confused state. That could also be why the feds are gearing up with MRAP's, body armor, billions of rounds of 5.56 and 40 cal hp ammo, body bags, plastic coffins etc. Whether it is a man made or natural disaster something wicked this way comes. All you have to do open your eyes. The NWO architects, Illuminati, the banking cartel or whatever you would like to call them are doing what they can to destroy America and bring us under their control, change us into a communist or islamofascist country to go along with the rest of the planet. I guess you don't read much but Homobama has severely weakened our military by firing top brass, Mexican military keeps testing our resolve by incessantly crossing the southern border then saying oops and Russia has been testing our air defenses on the west and east coasts and China is owed billions by our govt and want paid or want our land and fresh water resources. They already have ownership of ports in CA, NY, FL and possibly TX and have become very friendly with Mexico recently. The signs are all around us.

Mappow, first off... I hope I didn't misrepresent myself. I am a Reservist, not Active Duty. That said, I work for the Navy full time, either as a Information Technology Chief or as a Defense Contractor. I have been enlisted since 2001. I have not been mobbed to any hot spots, though I have been informed it ought to happen this year. So, while I am not AD I am emersed in the Navy, as a Civilian, as a Chief in a Reserve Unit, and it's pretty much 24/7 due to how engaged my command is at NCTS San Diego.

So, that said... the question at hand is whether or not Obama has severely weakened the military. If you believe this to be the case, can you please tell me what Obama has specifically done that has weakened the military? Aside from diplomatic blundering, which I'll tell you in advance... I already agree with you.

Also, I definitely appreciate the perspective of my military breathern, current, retired, and former. I may not agree with a point of view, but I will give it some honest thought. I really am not here to fight, even if it seems that way sometimes. I hope others here will give me that much too.

aacx22: We all know you are a reservist and there is no one belittling you for that. You seem to have a different view of things than most on here but that, in itself, may not be too terribly bad. If you haven't noticed, there are a lot of military, ex-military and retired military on here. We have all had different experiences than you and, for some reason, more insight to the problems existing for the military than you seem to have from a limited perspective. Most of us are from the era where we had a standing military unequaled in the world. Since our illustrious potentate took office, the military has been seriously reduced to the point of being unable to sustain wars on different fronts. As has been mentioned all over the news, our military strength has been reduced to pre-WWll levels. That also includes the Navy which has had trouble in having full ship's complements for some time now. Obama has tried to influence military action by using airstrikes in lieu of "boots on the ground," a tactic that will never win a war. Yet he continues to do things back asswards and to totally ignore the military leaders. He even had Leon Panetta and Gen. Dempsey publically state that to go to war with anyone, we would have to seek UN approval (that was televised in case you missed it). Do you think all of this hasn't weakened our military? In addition to everything else, Obama has armed the very people we have been fighting. Give them weapons here, fight them elsewhere. Doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense does it? Believe me, none of us will belittle you for your service. If you are deployed as you seem to think, you will get a much better look at how the military actually works and see, first hand, how things could be much better if we were led by a competent commander. Anyway, we all wish you well and hope you have a safe tour. A lot of us have been there and done that! I would much rather have read the book but it didn't work out that way.

natural disasters, etc... prove military still strong. Also ww2 needed more ships and men be ause of old tech. Battleship 16" gun took 72 men to operate. New navy provides more firepower with less men and equip.

3.) Armed our enemy by turning over Afghanistan while not pulling out our physical assets. (Guns, MRAPS, Ammo, Various weapons systems
4.) Lost SAM handheld systems in Benghazi with no support to protect a direct Presidential Represented.-Aided and abetted the enemy and committed 2nd degree murder)-Aided and abetted the enemy
r. (by his inactions, he help killed the ambassador and the team assigned to protect the compound)
5.) Calling the Fort Hood shooting a "work place violence" action instead of what it should be a "Terrorist Act" (Again demoralization of A/D serving to include those that have served)
6.) Putting a highly trained A/D tactical team (trained to kill) in a foreign country to fight Ebola where he will readily admit a foreigner into this country from a country that has Ebola running rampant.- Again demoralization

7 - yeah, okay. Not that I'm excusing Obama... but when was the last time the VA really worked well? Maybe I should ask if it ever did. It's on Obama, but it's really on the DOD more and on all the previous administrations and congresses, because all of them were perfectly fine with using, abusing, and discarding military members when expedient.

Other presidents have had their missteps too... and while I do not believe Obama to have been a good president, I think some conservative peeps really just go overboard where anything and everything is specifically his responsibility. Does the buck stop with him? I suppose. But, we have a lot of people that comprise our government, and each is responsible for his or her part.

This has been reported before and most were not inclined to pay much attention to what it meant.

That's because, as usual, it didn't mean anything. The warnings about UN presence on US soil have been coming almost non-stop for years, and yet every single one of them has turned out to be false propaganda and sensationalism. Take the "truckloads of UN vehicles were being shipped throughout the U.S. back in June" for instance. There was video of one truck in Alabama, but it turned out the video was carefully edited to exclude the company name on the truck so they could claim it was unmarked to make it seem more sinister. It also turns out the trucks are manufactured for the UN down there and that highway leads to one of the ports they're shipped out of. And you wonder why people don't pay attention? The only thing we wonder is why this crap keeps getting so willingly spread around the internet by people who should be smart enough to know better.
