Texas Man Kills Teacher Over Noise Complaint

It was 2am when he went over according to a news program I had seen on this. Now, answer me this. If your neighbor is being that loud with that many friends at 2am and you KNOW he is armed, WTF would you go over there? Call 911 let the police cite the bas-tard for a noise violation.

I'm in agreement with most of you here... this guy is an idiot and was looking for a confrontation and used his camera and the phrase "I'm in fear of my life" to try to drum up a defense. If you are really in fear of your life, why are you standing there holding a camera you azz-hat?

I think he will have a problem with his defense. He approached them and pulled his gun. He had plenty of time to walk away and continue to call the cops until they came. Music is not worth shooting anyone over. Stand your ground does not work if you instigate the confrontation. It's okay for him to ask them to turn down the music, but then he should have walked away. He could have hassled the cops until they came. His defense is on shaky ground, IMO.

Actually if I saw the video right, he was standing on a public street and the drunks (multiple) came after him (singular). I counted no less that 4 of them. He warned then several times to back off and the fools kept pushing a bad position. He's an older man, they all seemed to be younger and more physically fit than I would suspect the shooter to be (looking at his booking picture).

Hell, regardless of how it started, I'm 56, if I have a run in with 4 20 or 30 something jock looking guys that are obviously out of control, I'm going to be in a situation where I am fearing for my life.

He was on the phone with the dispatcher again for the same complaint and seemed like he was gathering evidence for when the cops did finally arrive. The party guys jumped in the truck and went after him. I'd say they were the aggressors.

But you're right. He could have walked away, when he had the chance. As soona s the party guys rolled up in the truck, that chance evaporated.
