I've said time and time again: Brain damaged people should not make comments to the press. Seriously, what kind of moron would make a comment like this?
When I had two black thugs talking about cutting me into little pieces because I asked them if I could please get through on the sidewalk they were blocking, I was wishing I had a gun. Luckily for me another older, smarter black shamed them for picking on an old cripple. Since then I've bought 8 pistols and a tactical shotgun, and have signed up for a CCL class and have become an NRA Life Member. I have zero sympathy for any thug, black or white, who gets shot for committing a crime of violence or any crime using a weapon. Kill them all and let God sort them out.

Perhaps it is because they were black thugs whose thinking is much like the BG of this discussion. They certainly were not Hispanic, middle eastern, Native American, Indian, or white; if they had been I would have duly noted it.

I've found that all thugs, regardless of skin color, think along the same lines. And that thinking is "me me me me me me me me ME!" and "I want I want I want!" And they're all too lazy to get it the easy way, the choose to do everything the hard way because, like every three year old and those with a three year old's mindset, they love to be defiant.

The only issue I have with this is shot placement. The HERO in this case needs to hit the range. 5 shots and the perp is still breathing. Other than that he deserves a medal.

This is exactly why professional pistol training is desirable. The good samaritan was probably on the verge of fight or flight type reflex and was barely capable of precise motor skill. I don't judge him in any way. I have seen grown men reduced to blubbering piles of sniffling snot because of the requirement to put on chem gear in a real world environment/threat. That being said, we were not there.
1. A forceable felony was taking place.
2. A hostage was in grave danger of being executed.
3. I am quite certain that people in the store were in full panic mode.
4. The good samaritan now has a choice
A. Do nothing.
B. Try to escape.
C. Take action to save a life.
D. Ball up and freeze with fear.
Personally only he could make that choice. He saved a life.
