I have had great success with my XDM 9mm Compact. Has anyone used the new XDS?

i have had mine for about 2 months now .. i am totally impressed with the little guy .. i carried a 9mm for yrs just because i didn't like the kick on a 45 .. i swear the XDs has about the same kick as my 9mm .. it must be the ergonomics of the gun .. it fits my hand perfectly, natural point of aim and weighs nothing compared to my Sig or Glock's .. it conceals incredibly well IWB and i carry the spare mag in my pocket .. very accurate with "point & shoot" and good out to 25yds using the sights .. try to shoot one before you buy .. i bought one the same day i got to shoot one .. it's now my EDC ..

I've had mine for about 6 weeks now. First .45 I've ever owned or shot and I like it a lot. I have a XD 9mm 4" service model. I not as accurate, yet, with the XDs as I am with the my XD9, but only 100 rnds down the pipe so far. Still mastering my grip & feel for the XDs. And still trying to figure out holster and carry position so trying different options, including IW.

I've had mine for 5 months & LOVE it! First and only .45 I've ever shot. Have 300 rounds thru it with out a problem (would be more but for $ & availability). I tried both backstraps and choose the larger one. Added Talon rubberized grip tape. Lil sucker fits me and shoots beautifully. I carry IWB and I'm waiting for my 3rd attempt at a holster to arrive.

900+ rounds, one failure to return to battery because of my fatigued grip, after a few hundred round range session. Absolutely flawless. Low bore centerline to make the recoil a hard push, instead of a snappy barrel flip as in some .40 cal. sidearms. Perfect carry size.

Manhandle the slide when racking, and no issues. Easy to break-down and clean. By far the best small frame .45 I've owned.

However, it is not for everybody. Trigger takes some range time. Grip with thumbs forward and firm grasp is needed. Was frustrated at first with low/right groupings (I'm a lefty), and had to compensate with proper hold and trigger control. Heavy trigger.

Took the most time of any sidearm I've had to dial-in my technique, but once done, it is now my EDC. I frickin' love this gun, and now, it loves me.

Oh, I have 4 magazines for it.

I love mine been having it now for a few months now and with about 800+ rds in it, it get better and I use this for my EDC with a extra 7 rds mag You want regret it if you haven't already got it.

I bought mine about 5 months ago after my wife tried my Kahr CW9 and decided it would be her new carry gun. I own a XDm-40 and XDm-9 and am very pleased with them so buying the XDs was a no-brainer. I've put hundreds of rounds through it with several different brands and types of ammo and I've never had a single malfunction. I carry it IWB in a SuperTuck and it conceals very well. I carry it with the stock 5 round magazine along with 2 of the 7 round mags in a mag pouch. It's very accurate, has a great sight picture and has far less recoil than I was expecting. I can get back on target very quickly after firing a round.

My XDs has become my primary CCW firearm and I feel very confident when carrying it.
