XD: I know you do not believe in God, however, in your attempt to discredit Him, you continually show your ignorance concerning anything Biblical and make your posts seem like rants of someone mentally deficient. If you happen to own a Bible, you can compare the above posts and see that we do not have any conflicts, only your misunderstanding of what has been said. You might have some credibility in your rants if you would read the Bible rather than continually shoot from the hip and make comments about something you don't understand.

As you said, in the middle if this mix is a Catholic.....me. Sancho went after that like a dog after a bone, which indicates to me that he has no real understanding of Catholicism, but I will be happy to discuss that with him at length. You open up all sorts of opportunities for theists to share the Gospel, however unwittingly. I have no doubt of the ability of Scripture to overcome your inane criticisms and comments so, keep on and so will we.

I don't hate your god, or have the drive to discredit your god, it is not the problem. Corporate religions and the millions of minions that blindly follow are the problem, and the threat.

What is your response to the 'so called' christians that don't view you as a christian, and quote a whole list of bible verses as to why you are not christian?

I have no input into what Nacelle chooses to post, but it seems you read a great deal into his comment. What were you hoping to accomplish by addressing that with me, take it up with him.

I've heard all of the nonsense of "scripture" which is 100% the work of man. Fear born in ignorance was where your god was spawned, then some intelligent but ruthless men saw that this was an infallible way to obtain power and wealth, and I will tip my hat to how successful they were. Bring it on, it only validates my position that all religion is pure unadulterated fantasy. Perhaps if you had anything else you would offer that to support your fantasy.

XD: I have no response to "so-called Christians" who you think do not share my religious views. I am not bothered by any disagreements we may have because we agree on the basics of religion, the Triune God and salvation through Jesus Christ. There may be some dogma from each denomination that we may disagree with but I have yet to find anything about them to cause me to lose my salvation over. I would refer you to Phil. 2:12, which tells each of us to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. We agree on some things, disagree on others, but we all seek God very diligently.

You say that you do not hate God, nor have the desire to discredit Him. That being the case, why do you constantly harangue God if He is not your problem? We consider Scripture to be the 100% inspired Word of God, and only written by men at His direction. You disagree with that so, you are indeed trying to discredit Him, or our belief, which is in essence, the same thing. Before you start, yes, I did say "fear God and tremble." The Bible gives us that admonition and states that fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. You may not remember, or ever saw, Bishop Fulton J. Sheen's weekly programs on TV years ago. He said then that the problems in the world were caused by people no longer fearing God. That was many years ago and we have gotten much, much worse in falling away from God. We are causing our own problems and actually asking for God's punishment. This has also been foretold in the Bible so all events are falling right in line.

In John 20:27, the apostle Thomas doubted Jesus having risen and wouldn't believe until he saw Him and put his hands in His wounds. When Jesus appeared to him, He told him to put his hands into His wounds to prove that He had indeed risen. XD, if you are ever given that opportunity to see and feel His wounds, will you then believe? Or will you continue down the wide road which leads to destruction with the multitude of other unbelievers? Matt. 7:13,14.

I remember hearing sermons about false religions... Being the work of the devil... Catholic was lumped in there as the best/worst of them. In conversations about anyone's new boyfriend/girlfriend, my mother in law, who is a big church goer, first askes about race then if they are Catholic? Everyone I know who isn't Catholic dislikes the religion. So it's not me. I could care less. I got go horse in the race anymore. But being kookie seems to be a Catholic trait though. Which is why I said it explains a lot.

It is NOT what I think, but the words of other christian sects to DO NOT view catholics as christians... Actually I have always considered catholics to be christians.

Remember the name. And apparently the message was remains unchanged, irrational fear, for that is all religion has in its quiver. Funny hats and gilded robes hold no credibility or authority. And probably had a toll free number or mailing address to send in your money so that you would go to the magic kingdom in the sky. Religion is big bu$ine$$, and very profitable.

And that cuts both ways across the christian/catholic line. Until fairly recently it was taboo for a catholic to marry a non-catholic, again religion telling you whom you may and may not love.

Saddly the Doubters, Unbelievers and the Atheists will scoff even when they are going into Hades!

I have found these people will never admit they were wrong on anything!

Yep, I have seen bodies that have been dead for three days or longer. From gunshot wounds, fires and plane crashes. You are right in one respect, those bodies were not OK at the time. You know, dead is sorta dead, any way you slice it. However, the soul of that person(s) is no longer with the body and what you look at then is a mere shell of the person who occupied it. The soul is eternal and will, at some time in the future, be reunited to become an immortal body. No holes, broken bones, no burns, only a perfect and immortal person.

I find any comments about Catholicism to be humorous and don't take offense at any of them because the ones who deride it the most are the ones who know the least about it. So that line can go on forever without evoking an angry response. As a matter of fact, I could tell any number of anti-Catholic jokes I have heard over the years but they are simply uneducated comments. Can't take offense at that.

Oddly enough, I can agree with you in that religion is a money making enterprise with some. I will not agree that is the motive for all ministers, some are truly sincere in their ministering to their congregations and do so with very little in the way of salaries. They do it because of their perceived calling from God and strive for the salvation of souls. That might be a little difficult to understand but you don't seem to be of a mind to believe there are people like that. Thank God that there are many who will preach the Gospel in the world today.

It is my belief that todays Christians are not bound by things in the Old Testament. Like the food we eat. Ok to eat pork. Ok to drink wine but not to excess.
Ok to marry a divorced woman. etc.
The OT Law was NOT for the Gentile. The OT laws were the old covenant.
Hebrews 8:6 But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.

Years ago a good friend ran a small one man print shop in a neighboring town. When I was in the area I would stop in to chat and drink his coffee. One day he showed me a job he was running for one his customers, the biggest baptist church in town. It was a series of 5 dunning letters for not 'tithing enough', the first on white paper, then a cream color, then yellow, then orange, and finally bright red paper.

If anyone received such a collection letter today, they could probably take legal action against them for harassment.

It is estimated that the catholic church in this country alone takes in $170,000,000,000 (yes BILLIONS) every year.... Higher than the GNP of 100+ countries.. I do tip my hat to how successful that scam is....

Religion is BIG money, and tax free to boot.

Praise The Lord!

There's a little old Christian lady living next door to an atheist.
Every morning the lady comes out onto her front porch and
shouts "Praise the Lord!".

Now the atheist yells back, "There is no God". Yet She does
this every morning with the same result. As time goes on the
lady runs into financial difficulties and has trouble buying food.
So she goes out onto the porch and asks God for help with
groceries, then says "Praise the Lord".

The next morning she goes out onto the porch and there's the
groceries she'd asked for, and, of course she says "Praise the
Lord". The atheist jumps out from behind a bush and says, "Ha,
I bought those groceries - there is no God".

The lady looks at him, smiles and shouts "Praise the Lord,
not only did You provide for me Lord, You made satan pay for
it!!!!".

Believers in fairy tales always have nonsense little stories to use in their fantasy teachings, be it an impossible global flood, rising from the dead, turning into salt, stopping the sun in the sky, parting seas, etc., etc., but also using them in some strange name calling exercise. Guess it shows why religion is so successful, keep the stories simple for the simple minded.

An old Christian man was living next to a Jewish woman. One day the Jewish lady stole the Christian guy's car and ran over his dog. He took revenge by beating her to death with a bat.

An atheist walked by and said "man, that whole situation is messed up."

(As long as we're making up silly stories...)
