One handgun your whole life?

at one time i owned more than 20 guns, long guns and hand guns. however a few years ago i became disabled and had bills that took away my guns as i had to sell them. i now have 1- shotgun, 1- 22 rifle, and 1- handgun, being on a fixed income and still with bills that take most my money i'll only have these for several more years. my wife went through our budget and in 3 years and 8 months we will be out of debt enough to buy some thing we want. first thing i buy is more ammo. as i can't afford any now and don't even shoot anymore as i want my supply to stay put.

I still have the first handgun I ever shot(Dad's High Standard HD-M) and the first handgun I personally purchased(Ruger Blackhawk convertible).

I'm a one handgun guy - for financial reasons only.

I'd love to have a few more handguns, for fun and for redundancy, and especially I'd like to have a smaller one for more discreet CC.

But the budget is what the budget is - can't do like Congress and just raise the debt ceiling.

I have to wonder how many are like me, and have added to their collection; but, if

they had to choose one, would go back to their original pistol.

Like Ringo, I would be hard pressed to find better than my(not so very) old model 70...
