Latest is that lead and environmental issues must be addressed before a permit can be issued.
IMO a sign of thing to come. Under Obama care indoor ranges and lead ammo as well as ammo in general will be taxed into oblivion.
Obama care was never about health it is about total and complete control.

September 2012 Update. Almost DONE!

I just found out that the delays in the deal caused by one bank have been worked out. HOW you ask. They got a different bank.
First Niagara did in a few weeks what the other bank couldn't do in a year. (begins with a M and ends with a T)
Should be major news and actual construction beginning in October 2012.
Glad I switched to First Niagara.

Yes the deal is DONE and they have the keys.The construction is underway now. As far as when the opening will be? They were trying for December or January but I have not heard anything more specific than that yet.

Well. I had to dig deep to find this thread. A lot has happened since the last post. Most of it bad news.
The construction which is major is progressing. I am talking major work has been done. Double walled filled cinder block just to name a part of it.
The plan as of now is to open around the first of June.
Now that is assuming that there are no hiccups or unforeseen circumstances between now and then.
While I am not trying to BS anybody here, I can truthfully say the wait is going to be well worth it.
Depew will have a state of the art, first class shooting range with an indoor 50 yard rifle range. 50' pistol range. Indoor 3D archery range and Archery lanes as well as a shooting simulator. There will also be a retail store for guns and ammo, gun rental, and concessions.
The only thing I may have left out is a classroom for meetings and training.

I really had no idea of the extent of work that was involved. This aint gonna be a backstop in a pole barn. I am talking State of the Art.
I am talking from first hand point of view guys. I is gonna be a really nice place to go and be with like minded people.
