I'm a widow on SS and know your financial bind. I shoot 9mm--they're cheaper and more available. Besides, the lower recoil is easier for me to handle.

The contracts are what is called indefinite amount /indefinite delivery. So all the Feds have to do is call up the ammo company and tell them "the next x# of rounds you produce are ours." They can dry up the supply any time they want to.

Welcome all new members!

I would love to move from my gun-unfriendly state - and hope to at some point in the near future.

Hi guys!! After watching for a bit, I decided to join you. The energetic and enthusiastic debate really leads to a lot of learning....

Hey everyone. Long time hunter, plinker here from Minnesota. I grew up around all types of handguns, rifles and shotguns (thanks Dad!). Hunted with Dad since before I could see over the table, shot competitive in school and also became a rifle instructor while still in school. By no means do I, nor would I ever, consider myself a expert. Each and every experience I see as an opportunity to learn. I have gone through this site since joining and is a treasure trove of interesting conversation, debate and information. I look forward to reading more here.

I am new around here and just wanted to say hello, I have already learned a lot of valuable info here already and look forward to posting helpful tips and info of my own.

Just joined today. Just completed CCW class 1 week ago. Just renewed my interest in guns (handguns) about 6 mos. ago. Sold all my guns after US Army discharge in 1971. We have a preponderance of "brave idiots' who like to target seniors. I refuse to change my lifestyle because of these "types'. I have a lot of catching up to do re firearms. It looks like this forum will be a good source of knowledge. I may not do much posting initially as I'm a firm believer in the old expression that it's "better to let people think you're stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

Hello all from south GA. New to the scene after several years with no firearms. Now kids are old enough to teach the rules so I'm back at it.

New member here from the Rocky Mountains of America. Don't like the direction our society is headed and realize that violent crime can happen any time and any place. Just got my CHP and will protect me and mine if necessary.

Welcome everyone that has just joined. Glad to have you here.

Suggestion for all... click on your screen name and click the tab "About me" and at least put in what state you are from. This helps us answer questions concerning gun laws that pertain to you.

Have a great weekend.

Hello from a Newbie from Central Ohio. I have already joined the NRA and just purchased A new Hi-point 9mm and before you start on the purchase you buy what you can afford at the time. I've saw in other forums and different places must people don't think much of Hi-point.

Greetings everyone. I'm an active duty service member in VA, avid supporter of the 2nd Amendment and have been shooting long enough to know that there is a lot I don't know. Looking to learn, maybe have something to contribute and overall have a good time talking to like minded people.

As a background on me I've been shooting all my life but for the last 10 years I've been gone through many formal courses and in that time I've completed Blackwater 5 day pistol/carbine course twice, Mid-South Institute of Self-Defense Shooting 5 day pistol/carbine course, NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor for handgun and shotgun, Expeditionary Small Arms Instructor for handgun and rifle, and Conflict Kinetics Advanced Marksmanship Combat Shooting Course along with CQB, land warfare, and urban warfare courses through the military.

So as you can see, my training has nothing to do with concealed carry or any of the legalities thereof (read noob) and I will be asking lots of questions and reading lots of posts. Thanks to all of you that take the time to post on here for those of us that have lots to learn in this arena.

Hi all, New guy from Pennsylvania but raised in West Virginia. Just joined to gain knowledge from others on various subjects. Fairly new to carrying. Kinda scared in the direction of our great country and pissed off at the Government. Will feel out the site before opening my mouth on most subjects.

Hi! New here. Raised in WY, now live in IA. I'm a veteran and a stay at home mom. New to CC, still trying to find a safe, comfortable way to carry w/o my 3yr old noticing. I am ready to learn.
