A Big Texas Howdy from another Texas Native born in SA. Hope you enjoy the site.

By way of introduction, I am Tom from Missouri. I have been scouting the site for a week or two and decided this might be a good fit for me, an opportunity to discuss matters firearms related with like minded people. I tend to be Libertarian in my views with what I consider a finely honed sense of right and wrong. My views may at times rankle individuals but you will always know what I think AND the logic behind it. I hope to engage in interesting and thought provoking dialogue with the members here.

And now, let the fun begin..... :)

New guy here. I have several guns, but my favorite carry guns are my Kahr PM40 and my Ruger LCR. I carry both daily, and would recommend either, or both highly. Been carrying for right at 25 years and gained a ton of equipment during the process. I live in north Georgia and work in the Atlanta area. I take concealed carry very seriously and enjoy my 2nd amendment right to carry in defense of my family and myself.

Anyway, glad to be here.:pleasantry:

I'm wondern' why my profile picture isn't showing up when I post messages... and is there a way to receive email notifications when a reply is made on a thread that I'm involved in?

Your profile picture is showing up in your profile. You may be thinking about the Avatar picture that shows up below your screen name in your posts.

If so, you can add a avatar by going to Settings at the top of a thread, then go to Edit Avatar and add your photo.

You can set your email notifications by going to Settings and then to General Settings and making a selection under the heading Default Thread Subscription Mode. If you chose instant notification, you will receive an email anytime anyone posts in any thread you either have posted to or subscribed to without posting.

Hope this helps.

Hello, Mike here in upstate, NY. I've been searching around for sample letters to write the Judge asking to have my "hunting and target" administrative restrictions lifted. Lots of good info here, I look forward to being a member.

Greetings from Michigan. I am a criminal defense attorney (please don't "first kill all the lawyers") and thought I would join mostly to correct a little bad law in the Michigan subforum.

Glad to be here. This has been really helpful so far. I got the app for android and started a new thread under "travelling". It hasnt shown up on my phone though.

EATIII here, great site! I've decided to come out of the woodline and participate instead of being in the shadows (not that it isn't part of my job, LRS) any way, hello All.

ETA: I recognize a few names from other forums, glad to be among you here.

Hello to everyone in the U.S.A. Carry Forum. As stated in my profile I served in the U.S. Navy for twenty-one years. I currently reside in Memphis, Tennessee but have lived all over the United States. I'm a strong believer in the Second Ammendment of the U.S. Constitution and the right of law abidng citizens to carry a firearm for personal protection. I've worked in law enforcement since retiring from the military. Once thing that I've learned is that the police cannot be at all places at all times. I believe that responsible and well trained armed citizens are a deterrent to criminals who will think twice if they suspect that a potential victim is armed.

Welcome! Its nice to see who is LEO here on this forum. Makes it easier to ask questions from someone who would know the laws. Now, if I could only figure out who are lawyers here it would be even better. Luck O' the Irish to ya and happy posting.
