Man Shoots Out Truck Windshield After Row Over Snow
Michigan man was frustrated over snow piles around wife's car

While we're all certainly a little frayed after braving multiple polar vortexes, one man took his winter weather frustration a little too far, shooting out the windshield of a front-end loader while it worked to clear the parking lot of an apartment complex in Pittsfield Township, Mich.

Driver Ben Clink started working at midnight to clear four inches of snow from the Valley Ranch Apartments parking lot, according to Mlive. Around 7:30 am Clink was piling snow behind a white car. He planned on removing the snow once he had finished clearing the piles from behind a dumpster when a man came out and began screaming at Clink about blocking in his wife's car with snow. During the altercation the man pulled a gun and fired a shot, shattering the nearby heavy truck's windshield. Fortunately, Clink was unhurt. He even finished plowing the lot.

The suspect, who holds a permit to carry a concealed weapon, turned himself in to police and surrendered his weapon. Charges are still pending, but he could be face assault with intent to murder.

The only bad thing about having so many more people getting their concealed carry licenses is that we invariably have to put up with idiots like this, and with the tarnished image they give to us all.

What an idiot. This guy needs to lose his permit permanently, and maybe even his gun for reckless endangerment.

Or he needs to go before a jury on the charges of the crimes he committed... serve time for those charges and after he has paid his debt to society, continue to have his rights as all free citizens should.

The guy is indeed an idiot, but he doesn't tarnish my image in any way, shape, manner or form.

What's with all the collectivist-speak around here lately?

CPL holders have had the moral and logical high ground in Michigan as in most other states. This makes the second unjustified shooting by a CPL holder in MI in the last 6 or so months, and the anti's, especially our mayor, are jumping all over them to argue that carriers are all essentially just waiting for a chance to pull the trigger on someone. Making getting the message out and passing pro-gun legislation a little more difficult here.

Surely you're aware of the anti-gunners efforts to exploit any opportunity to portray concealed carry license/permit holders in a negative light. Although obviously you aren't dumb enough to fall for what they say, there are plenty of naive Americans out there who would, and that hurts us at the ballot box where it counts.

Stay armed my friends.......The Liberals hate it, the criminals will gain holiness. As for the idiots, they will cull themselves out sooner or later. It's just a shame they might take good people out with them. Can't ever stop the crazies or the asses with an attitude. Just the way it is.

Anti-gunners are going to exploit every death or injury by gun-fire. Recall that one of the Tsarnaev brothers was on the "victims" list of MAIG, or whichever list it was.

There ain't a damn thing this gun owner can do about 2 permission slip holders in MI who did something wrong, so I refuse to be included in some collectivist idea about "our" image being tarnished by their actions. I'm the only one who can tarnish my image. Y'all are hereby relieved of taking any responsibility whatsoever for anything I do, write, or say from here to the end of time, OK? How about leaving me (and really, anybody but yourselves if you feel some responsibility) out of being unfairly "tarnished" through some logical fallacy of simply sharing an interest in guns with 2 guys 1,000 miles away or so? Fair 'nuff?

I wasn't suggesting responsibility at all. But whether we like it or not, and of course we don't, idiots like that do make a negative impression that casts a bad light on all concealed license/permit holders in the eyes of some. Are those people shallow and incredibly ill informed? Of course they are. But many of those people vote, and unless we have our heads firmly buried in the sand we can't deny the fact that those impressions do affect us. Look who many of those people elected to the White House, and it's quite obvious that it affects us. No, we aren't responsible for what that idiot did, and no, we can't do anything about it, but I wasn't suggesting anything like that. I was merely lamenting the fact that we have to put up with people like that, and that with more people getting licenses/permits, the more likely we are to see people like him.
