People not in uniform, openly carrying long arms in pubic will never be acceptable in any developed, civilized country.

Dont remember the movie, but some stupid movie has a guy brushing his teeth while a girlfriend watches. He sees he is being watched, hands her a toothbrush, and spits in her mouth, and says, "your turn"
That movie scene was just a little over intimate to the point of gross.
When I see someone open carry I think to myself, could this be done discrete?
The pics are a different culture in a different time and a different country.
Our current culture has guys with their pants below their ass and girls with their boobs hanging out. Even 14 year old teens. Why is it this generation thinks everyone needs to see their junk? I dont want to see it. I am not interested. Put it all in your pants.

I owned a gun store for 1.5 decades. In that span of time, not once did anyone walk into my gun store open carrying a gun, handgun or rifle.
To this day, I am 57, I have never seen anyone open carrying out and about in public places.
Maybe my area of the country, our 2nd Amendment folks are more discrete.
I have CC everyday for many years, and my close friends have no idea I carry. I carry two compact Glock .40s.

I am beginning to get the impression that there are some CC only folks who think they are some kind of bad ass just waiting for an opportunity to whip out their super secret ninja "discrete" element of surprise all over some bad guy and then humbly accept the accolades from all the oh so grateful people he saved from dire disaster and the resulting media coverage portraying him as a grand hero.. not to mention the free drinks from his star struck admiring buddies at the bar..... but the truth is they don't have the balls to carry openly because it's not "discrete" and just might offend someone. So how can someone who doesn't have the balls to not worry about fitting in, or maybe offending someone, or being looked at, or maybe even being shunned, or having to defend the right to bear arms from cops or anti gunners... have the balls to whip out anything?
No need to answer that... I've seen the answer in many a disdaining condescending, demeaning, and ridiculing post from some of the CC only crowd.

Odd, we have old geezers openly carrying 1911s and younger guys openly carrying Sigs and Glocks at our Gander Mountain, all customers. I recently saw a guy openly carrying an empty holster into an Academy Sports + Outdoors. That definitely caught my attention.

I've never been to a gun store in my area without seeing someone openly carrying.
Maybe in my area of the country, we have more pride in the 2A.
I open carry everyday, all my friends and family, my neighborhood, anyone I converse with, know I carry a firearm. My friends, now carry openly as well.
