Making the Case To Carry Concealed

Everyone has a right to a toothbrush but I do not want to see it to see if you brush your teeth.

Everyone has a set of family jewels or jib lets but I really do not wish to see them when I shop walmart.

I saw hundreds of people today in my business, and not one person saw my Glock 23C or my Glock 32 or the 26 rounds of ammo I was carrying. It is none of their business.

I shop and buy coffee openly carrying all the time. Both states have had restrictions on carrying since before the open carry movement.

Life isn't a poker game. The object in poker is to draw the opponent in to bet as much as you can get them to bet and then at the end hope that you can beat their hand when you do show your cards. Not exactly the way I want to interact with criminals. I prefer that they never bet against me or my family to begin with.

I fully understand the dynamics of what is taking place in the room I am in because the vast majority of comments and visible reactions that I get to my gun are positive. The vast majority of what little negative reactions I do receive from my gun are from people like you who can't resist the urge to tell me they have a concealed pistol license, they carry their gun concealed, and so should I. You don't have the opportunity to see any real dynamics of what is happening in regards to your gun because you are the only one who knows about it and you are the one who only sees one side because there is no opportunity for there to be any other side but yours.

Decades of rolling over, compromise, hiding our guns in fear and letting the anti-gun crowd walk all over us is what accomplished that. Decades of lack of action is what caused that. So, what you are saying is "You have the right to do that, but don't do it, because as soon as you do it they will take it away." Meanwhile people like you have trashed our rights since 1934 by conceding to the anti-gun groups and accepting their "reasonable regulation" and actually believing the obtaining the government's permission and paying a tax to the government for that permission to do something is somehow "exercising a right".

Actually... anyone that pushes concealed carry over open carry does not understand the difference between the right to bear arms and the privilege of having permission (a permit) from the government. You do understand that if the government is in control of who is allowed to have a permit that government is also in charge of who is NOT allowed to have a permit? And that the "who is not" can change at the whim of ... the government?

You do understand that if you have to pay for, do something to qualify for, and have to go through a process to be "allowed", then you do not have the right but all you have is the permission from a government that is infringing upon your right by being in control of who is allowed to have permission?

Trouble is... while you are trashing open carry you are trashing the right to bear arms in favor of allowing the government to infringe upon that right with a system that requires asking permission to bear an arm in a concealed manner.

May I suggest doing some research to discover the difference between the right to bear arms and the privilege of a government controlled permit to bear arms? You are complaining that someone who is actually exercising the right to bear arms is jeopardizing your concealed carry permitted privilege. Please understand the difference between the right to bear arms and the ass kissed to get government controlled privilege of a concealed carry permit.

Oh.. and may I also suggest giving some thought to how you are espousing the very same attitude of wanting to be in control of how people exercise the right to bear arms that the.... rabid anti gunner..... also espouses? The only difference is the rabid anti gunner wants to ban all guns carried in all ways for all common people and you only want to ban certain guns being carried in certain ways by certain people. But you both share the elitist attitude that you should be in charge of other people's right to bear arms.

My argument for carry, not just concealed, is 2nd Amendment, don't see any notice in it about any form of carry, also don't see anywhere in it I need a license to carry either way.

Yes indeed... it is interesting that giving the finger is the same attitude our forefathers had for the tyranny of King George where guns were used to win a war that resulted in you having the ability to exercise the right to keep and bear arms.... and also the right to free speech that you are now using to condescendingly disparage others.
