For me, with hand on gun in front pants pocket rig, it's under .60 second, average, to react, draw and hit the chest, at arm's length, so the gun is visible at right around .50 second, with .20 second of that being reaction time to the "beep" of the electronic shooting timer. So the actual "draw-stroke" (not hitting or even firing, now) is .30 second. From a ccw belt rig, it's more like .70 second to reacti and get it visible, so .50 second, after subtracting my reaction time. I seriously doubt that anyone is enough faster to matter any, tactically. I've entered and run enough leatherslaps and other really close/fast match stages, worldwide, to say that with authority. For those who are not going to practice a lot, say, with an airsoft gun on a timer designed for airsoft ($90 from Madbull) the hand in pocket ccw draw is going to be MUCH faster than their ccw belt rig draw. It's much less likely to be fumbled, or snagged on clothing or result in a poor firing grip.
Bill Jordan himself favored an airwt .38 snub, with shrouded hammer, in a pants pocket rig for ccw. Given his tremendous hand speed and very considerable combat experience, that says a LOT (as vs a belt gun and rig).
