The guy has already stated (many, many, many...) times that he thinks NO ONE should NEED or OWN an "assault rifle"!
He has also preached to his "followers(?)", that the mighty .32 ACP and or the "massively destructive" .380 ACP should be the ONLY choice for EVERY ONE of your "NEEDS"!

The site I cited, "Link Removed," seems to be something akin to a blog, but I think it's more like a "creative writing" site where budding writers hone their "skills."

The last time I clicked on that link it was dead. I figured it was dead for good, but it looks now like they've just done a little renovation on the place. It's the same "article" posted there though. Used to be on two pages. Now it's all in one place so you can read the sickening gun-grabber blather without having to force yourself to turn the page. Someone should probably copy the whole thing and post it for posterity. I just don't have it in me to attach my name to the whole thing.

How to Prevent Gun Violence

In a country of over three hundred million people, it may not be possible to stop all gun violence. However, there are ways to stop a good amount. In order to buy a gun you must submit to an FBI background check and this is a good thing. But we must remember that many people who end up on a killing spree have no criminal background. Therefore a background check will not always reveal any reason to be alarmed at this person buying a gun. I believe what the Government must do is a study on what age groups do the most amount of violent shootings. Then close in on ways to possibly prevent these shootings.

It might be good to have television commercials aimed at people learning to recognize someone who is troubled and has possession of handguns. When someone who owns handguns and talks illogically about their guns, it could be a sign they need help. Therefore people who live in a household with guns need to be more tuned in on whether the gun owner is having problems or seems to be developing a more hateful disposition. Stopping gun violence is accomplished by others noticing problems with people who own guns. A good gun owner knows that guns are for target practice, hunting, and defending yourself. A bad gun owner thinks they can use their guns to settle problems or do away with people they consider enemies. Remember it is the person, not the gun who commits the crime.

Another good way to help gun control is by having college classes which focus on people who have problems and may own guns. College students should be aware of other students who seem to have a bad attitude and also own guns. Students should be encouraged to tell college officials if they know another student who owns guns and may be having social or mental problems. It could be done anonymously and might save other peoples lives. Possibly having a class in high school about gun violence prevention would also be an excellent idea. Giving students some knowledge in ways to spot and prevent gun problems. Now another step which can be taken is to let teachers take gun classes and have concealed firearms. I know this seems like a drastic step and would frighten many people, but let's be realistic. If teachers in colleges and high schools were allowed to carry concealed guns and some crazy shooter was killing people, they could use their gun to stop the shooter. Use violence to stop violence you say? Well with someone killing innocent students you must take drastic measures. Unless you want to just count bodies after he is done.

As for gun bans, without a doubt assault rifles must be banned, citizens have no need for assault rifles in an educated society. Handguns, hunting rifles, and shotguns are more than enough for protection and/or hunting. There could also be a limit on the size of handgun magazines. Maybe make all handgun magazines ten rounds or less. This is an area where the government needs to get together with gun manufacturers and discuss these things. I understand Americans wanting the right to own guns, but not assault rifles or guns with large magazines to shoot a large amount of rounds.

Preventing gun violence will only be accomplished if everyone works together. Parents, school kids, teachers, and other gun people. You can not just make a new law and stop gun violence. Remember that criminals don't obey laws, and people with mental problems don't either. Notice when a gun owner is not behaving normally or logically and let someone know. It takes all of us to be able to lower gun violence. Don't take the guns from good people, that only makes the criminal feel more secure. More people with Concealed Carry permits are needed in every state and when someone gets a Conceal Carry permit, it should allow them to carry in every state. If criminals realize there are a lot of people with concealed guns, they will be more cautious about committing crimes. People with Concealed Carry permits could possibly save more lives. Don't shun the people who carry concealed, shun the criminal.

Remember, nothing will stop all violence, but we can stop a percentage of it.

I do agree with you. I like being able to make the decision that a 9mm is good for my defensive carry. In no way would I say others shouldn't need anything bigger and that is where I disagree with the guy. Personally I would rather not spend a lot of money adding a bunch of bells and whistles to a gun. I would rather take that money and purchase an additional gun; I'm guessing that is another point at which his opinion and mine differ. You apparently know this guy from previous posts and I don't. Now I know.
 
And I'm most accurate with a .45 plus the added benefit that a .45 has the best stopping power as evidenced by those viewed from a morgue over a 9mm, .38, .380 or any other smaller caliber weapon. Terminal ballistics as viewed in a morgue Now, if that's what he is most accurate with, so be it. Great. One should shoot what one is most accurate. But I can get my three rounds center mass, that I train with, where in all probability only one round will do the job, when Cluznar will need EVERY round in his clip to stop the aggressive assailant.

Considering the same handgun size, .45 ACP provides you with more per-round stopping power at less round capacity. The Terminal ballistics as viewed in a morgue is great, but not the holy grail either. I have come to the conclusion that the difference in stopping power of 9mm (at the low-end), .40 S&W, and .45ACP (at the high end) scales inverse linear with round capacity.

Your 3 rounds center mass hits could easily require 5-6 shots in total, considering the circumstances of an actual self-defensive shooting, such as adrenaline dump, shoot-and-move, and a moving target that is shooting at you. If you have a full-size 1911 with 7+1 .45 ACP rounds, you basically have 2-3 rounds left after engaging 1 attacker, assuming a 50-60% hit rate. If you have a full-size Glock 21 with 13+1 .45 ACP rounds, you still have 8-9 rounds left.

Now, if you go to .40 S&W, you get only slightly less stopping power, but higher capacity. Unfortunately, you also get less controllability due to the snappiness of .40 cal handguns. This may result in a lower hit rate. A Glock 27, for example, gives you 9+1 rounds and is significantly easier to conceal than a full-size 1911 or Glock 21.

A 9mm has even less stopping power and higher capacity without the snappiness of .40 S&W. For example, a Glock 26 with 10+1 rounds is as easy to conceal as the same-size Glock 27, but is significantly more controllable. Due to the lower stopping power of 9mm, one more hit may be required in comparison to a .45ACP, but your hit rate may be actually higher.

At some point, there is the law of diminishing return, when you go down in caliber so much that the added capacity is not a benefit.

Currently, I don't like the .40 S&W due to its snappiness. I also generally don't like the .45 ACP due to its low capacity. That's why I am at 9mm for now. I carry a Glock 26 with 10+1 rounds and a 17-round spare magazine.

At some point, I will likely move up to 10mm. With the availability of conversion barrels, I will then start shooting .40 S&W and light 10mm loads out of a Glock 29. As the Glock 29 is slightly bigger and heavier than the Glock 27, the .40 S&W round is less snappy and more controllable.

I have a .380 ACP mouse gun (7+1 Taurus TCP) only as a jogging gun and as a training gun to get used to higher recoil. If I get into a self defense situation where I have to shoot, I will likely empty the magazine and reload.

Steon, you don't understand. Conrad couldn't care any less about what you or anyone else is most proficient with. He is for bans. He is for limiting the number of rounds you can load into your weapon(s). He is for expanding background checks to include transfers between private parties, which would mean fathers would have to involve an FFL to pass a weapon on to his son, just as a for-instance of the myriad ramifications (unintended consequences? doubtful) of what expanding background checks would do that isn't readily apparent to casual observers.

There's a lot in just that one paragraph to make one want to vomit over, but pay particular attention to the context of the emphasized words "government," "gun manufacturers," and "wanting." "...the government needs to get together with the gun manufacturers" and discuss limiting round capacity in magazines to 10 rounds or less. Where do We, The People fit into that equation? What's this crap about wanting our rights to military pattern rifles? We already own our rights by virtue of simply being alive, the 2nd Amendment only prohibits government from interfering in our exercises of preexisting rights, and it was written precisely to guarantee our access to military arms.

This guy is either clueless as a box of rocks, or he's a government shill. He's been talkin' gun control memes since the day he got here. There's no sense trying to explain the nuances of ballistics, The Constitution, the relationship between the government and The People, whatever, he'll either never get it, or never care because of the agenda he's here to promulgate.

But I was still pointing out that as far as I'm concerned my .45 beats his .32 any day of the week, and since I'm most proficient in it, it just makes sense for me to carry it.

I certainly understand what Bofh was trying to say, but I'm shooting terrible with my Beretta Nano. My fault for not test firing it before buying it. If only I could find someone with a LC9 to do a straight up exchange then I'd have a weapon I'd be at least as proficient with in a 9mm. I just don't like that the LC9 has the manual safety but since I passed it up for the Nano I've been reading that it isn't necessary to engage it, and Ruger designed it so it doesn't have to be engaged and the internal safeties are enough.

But all the same, Like Tim 'The Tool Man' Taylor always says.... Power.... "Grunting Sounds." There's something about Holding and Shooting a .45 for a EDC...

If I carried a Revolver, I'd go with a .44 Mag for the same reason if I proved to be as accurate.
 
Oh. Another magazine with over ten rounds; XDm 4.5 with 19+1, 9mm, Speer Gold Dot 124 gr. JHP, +P, and Viridian X5L.

Carry this, and an XD-S .45 acp (good streaking sidearm), 230 gr. Ranger-T JHP, standard pressure.

If nocluznar doesn't like it he has 3 choices:

1. Go pound sand.
2. Get over it.
3. Or both.
