Signs of the End of the Age & The Last Generation

Two barbers, one godly, one vile, worked side by side. One day the pastor he mocked came for a haircut, but the rude guy was missing. “He’s sick and in a coma,” the godly barber said. But weeks later the pastor heard someone call his name at the post office. It was the crude barber, who now gleamed. “I was in a coma,” the man explained, “but I could hear the doctor whispering to my wife I wouldn’t last an hour. For the first time in 60 years I cried out to God to help me. “Would you believe it? When I called His name, He came near.”

James 4:8 Come near to God and he will come near to you.

Our contention is that uneducated people are generally the ones who believe in god. If the vile guy knew what oxygen deprivation or being comatose did to the brain, he would have known he was only seeing a hallucination. Since he's not educated enough to know that, he'll take the word of the local religious guy as it being a sign from god. Religion... duping cretins for thousands of year and counting.

Both Psalm 14:1 and Psalm 53:1 read, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God". In this text, the Hebrew word is "nabal", which often refers to an impious person who has no perception of ethical or religious truth. The meaning of the text is not “unintelligent people do not believe in God.” Rather, the meaning of the text is “sinful people do not believe in God.” In other words, it's a wicked thing to deny God, and a denial of God is often accompanied by a wicked lifestyle. It's not intelligence, or a lack thereof, that leads a person to reject belief in God. It's a lack of righteousness that leads a person to reject belief in God. Many people do not object to the idea of a Creator, as long as that Creator minds His own business and leaves them alone. What people reject is the idea of a Creator who demands morality from His creation. Rather than struggle against a guilty conscience, some people reject the idea of God altogether. Psalm 14:1 calls this type of person a “FOOL.Psalm 14:1 says that denying God’s existence is commonly based on a desire to lead a wicked life. Belief in a divine Being is accompanied by a sense of accountability to that Being. So, to escape the condemnation of conscience, which itself was created by God, atheists simply deny the existence of God. They tell themselves, “There is no overseer of the world. There is no Judgment Day. I can live as I please.” The moral pull of the conscience is thus more easily ignored. A lack of evidence of God’s existence isn't the true reason atheists reject a belief in God. Their rejection is due to a desire to live free of the moral constraints God requires and to escape the guilt that accompanies the violation of those constraints. “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them . . . so that people are without excuse. . . . Their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools. . . . Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts. . . . They exchanged the truth about God for a lie” (Romans 1:18–25). Trying to convince oneself there is no God is unwise. The point of “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God’” is that it is an impious, sinful heart that will deny God. The atheist’s denial flies in the face of far too much evidence to the contrary, including his own conscience and the universe he lives in.

The word translated "SCOFFER" in English means "one who mocks, ridicules, or scorns the belief of another." In Hebrew, the word translated "SCOFFER" or "MOCKER" means "AMBASSADOR" So a scoffer is one who not only disagrees with an idea, but he also considers himself an ambassador for the opposing idea. He cannot rest until he has demonstrated the foolishness of any idea not his own. A scoffer voices his disagreement, ridicules all who stand against him, and actively recruits others to join his side. In the Bible, scoffers are those who choose to disbelieve God and His Word. They say in their hearts, "There is no God" (Psalm 14:1), and make it their ambition to ridicule those who follow God. Proverbs 3:34 says that God "scoffs at the scoffers, yet He gives grace to the afflicted." The Bible warns us not to entertain the company of those who actively ridicule our faith. Proverbs 13:20 says, "Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm". We can't totally escape the presence of scoffers. They were active in Jesus' day, and we continue to hear from them today. Jesus told His disciples, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you". Second Peter 3:3 warns us that "in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires" (cf. Jude 1:18). We know from Scripture that scoffing will only increase as we near the time for Jesus' return. Yep, scoffers have always been and will always be present in the world. But there is coming a promised day when "at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:10–11). On that day there will no longer be any scoffers. They will at last accept the truth, and their scoffing will be forever silenced.:victory:

The problem is, science diminishes that evidence of your god more and more as time goes by. Of course we're going to counter. Facts are facts after all.

Let ask you about this science you seem to put above God. For many years I have studied and I have read of many men making discoveries in science. I have yet to have found one who claimed he invented science. I know of many innovations in the use of discovered knowledge but no one who claims to have created science. This being true, then some very capable intelligence must have set down the laws of the universe put them in motion for matter, energy and life. Or do you claim it is all your imagination? If so how is iiswe seem.to share soany dreams? No my friend, Satan's original sin was as yours to deny the power of God. So, you play into his hands and he obscures your vision so that you don't see clearly your error. I understand to you this is some grand game but to God unless you admit your mistake he will permit you to follow Satan into eternal damnation. Satan welcomes the damned as his special victory but he has not defeated God.
He has only deprived you of eternity in Heaven. For your science has no place for the immortal soul but when the life force leaves your body the truth will be revealed too late. Many have seen and reported both the existence of heaven and hell. I have met people who have reported seeing both. For some it was comforting and others literally had the hell scared out of them. For your sake I hope you become one of these latter.

Are you referring the mystical "bad guy" that was booted out of heaven along with a boatload of other angels? I don't believe in him either. If I did, I would be wondering if heaven is such a great place, why did so many angels risk not being able to go back? They've seen it first-hand and it didn't stop them from rebelling. Keep your silly stories coming. They are quite humorous. At least you don't copy/paste YET. BTW, does the ep in epwrangler stand for evanescent peni$ wrangler?

Isn't that what you are doing? (Choices?)
Yes, I am stubborn; to capitulate to the ignorance of mythical beings is something I will not nor cannot do, for I have to live with myself. To say I believe in what I view as absurd and dangerous to not offend someone just isn't going to happen.

And I absolutely refuse to be repentant for standing my ground against a clear and present threat to mankind's future, the willful ignorance of religions.

So NO, it is NOT a choice!

Sancho: Again, you are out in left field and expounding in an area in which you are sorely lacking, as are most who denounce the Bible solely on scientific assumptions. Science, as well as archeology, has proven many things, to include the writings in the Bible. The Bible is very unique in its continuity. It was written over over approximately a span of 1500 years. It was written by more than forty authors from every walk of life, including kings, military leaders peasants, philosophers and statesmen. It was written in different places, by Moses in the wilderness, Jeremiah in a dungeon, Daniel in a palace, Paul inside prison walls, and John on the Isle of Patmos. It was written in times of war by David; by Solomon in times of peace and prosperity and, written on three different continents, Asia, Africa, and Europe.

To make it even more unique it was written in three languages, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. It is written in fourteen different literary styles and in spite of the diversity, it presents a single unfolding story: God's redemption of human beings. It is also unique in its survival throughout time. It was copied over and over for hundreds of years yet the Scriptures have not diminished in style or correctness. As a matter of fact, it still outsells all other books. Many have predicted the death of Christianity over the years but it still survives. Its opponents come and go but the Bible remains. As Jesus said: "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away." Mark 13:31.

Sancho, in all seriousness, study the Bible for yourself. Don't let someone else sway you against God. It is your soul and, contrary to what the militant atheists say, it will go to hell if you haven't accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior. You will hear all sorts of people kicking and screaming against that statement but it is your soul. Don't let anyone talk you out of it. Don't pass up your salvation just because someone else is doing the same.

You wake up one morning, and you notice something is seriously wrong with your body, you call 911, go to the ER, or call your doctor. You have just placed science above your god.

Nope. He will have just placed his welfare in the hands of someone God has deemed to be a doctor and someone who studied medicine to sufficiently treat his infirmity. To say otherwise would be to fall in line with some of the current cultists who refuse medical attention and believe in prayer for healing. I won't say prayer doesn't help but God has also given us the wisdom to know when we need help. We have all seen examples of those hoping prayer will be sufficient. In some cases, the people and/or children have recovered. In others, some have died. Who is to say that they wouldn't have died in either case?

XD, you have an extreme hatred for God, which is your prerogative, but you will never be able to convince everyone that He doesn't exist. The way you carry on makes me wonder if you might not have had some traumatic experience at some time in your life that has turned you against God. I do believe that you are in for a dreadful surprise in the future and can only hope you will change your mind while you have time.

How dense are you, hating god or satan or peter pan or the tooth fairy, or santa is stupid for the simple reason, they don't exist, and I've made that clear many times.

I do have a very serious dread for the future as I see the hate and agenda of religion in action on the news every day, from the actions of radical muslims around the globe, to the hate and protests by so called peaceful christians with their hatred of people that merely love the wrong person, according to the bigoted christians.

For me, I'm old enough to just tell them to **** off, but for world my grandsons, now in their teens, will enter, and possibly die in some utterly stupid war as idiots fight over which god is the right one really pisses me off, for it is just so ******* stupid.

And quit fishing for why I don't believe in god... not turned against.. for I never believed the BS of religion. I am a feral atheist, it is man's natural state and were were all born that way. Religion thrives in the petri dish of ignorance.

And please stop with the Pascal's Wager nonsense, do you not yet understand how childish the threat of hell or whatever is? Other than it clearly indicates you have no rational other than fear as a reason to believe.

OBTW, to change my mind would require a frontal lobotomy, or traumatic brain injury.

The great thing about America is that dumb and dumber are free to say what they want. That doesn't mean that anyone will listen. I'm sure you both made some really good fear filled nonsensical points. I'm just not in the mood for reading that much BS this morning. There's only so much time in the day. I don't feel like waisting it reading your ignorant ramblings. May science be ever in your favor.

"Does it mean, if you don’t understand something, and the community of physicists don’t understand it, that means God did it?... If that’s how you want to invoke your evidence for God, then God is an ever-receding pocket of scientific ignorance that’s getting smaller and smaller and smaller as time moves on." -Neil DeGrasse Tyson
