Ringo: I have been on here for several years and have never put anyone on my ignore list. Wouldn't do much good anyway. Whoever you put on ignore will show up on someone else's post. Besides, I feel like he hasn't made anything off of us. He is oblivious to the beliefs of anyone other than himself and putting him on the ignore list would only boost his ego and make him think he has run us off. Ain't gonna do it. He hasn't the ability to do that. Hopefully, he will say something in the future that might be of interest of us all. Even the biggest horse's patoot can say something interesting, by accident maybe, but I would hate to miss it being said.

For all the hate he accuses us of, he still feels compelled to read our posts so, maybe one day in the future, something will register with him. Remember what Jesus said in John 6:44, "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day." I do have and freely admit that I have a great deal of intolerance for people that hate people for things beyond their control. To hate total strangers whom you will never meet, have never caused you any harm or even inconvenience you, but believe you should because of the bias and ignorance from 2000 years ago?

You cling to you teachings that having a book that tells you to hate is a positive for society as a whole. Someone has sold your a bill of goods. I find nothing but negatives in such teachings. To hate anyone because the bible tells you that you must hate them is the ultimate stupidity, and destructive to society as a whole, especially when you figure that millions have the same feelings for the same reason.

That premise is based solely on your particular non-belief and acceptance of scientific theories concerning the creation of the world in lieu of any religious context. OK. I go along with that. That is YOUR opinion and you have every right to it. Religion is OUR opinion and we have every right to it also. The thing causing us all problems right now is the word "tolerance." One would think that tolerance is a two-way street.
We leave you to your opinion, without belittling you, you leave us to our opinions without belittling us and cursing our God. That should be a simple thing to do.

Before you so carelessly throw around the word hate in association with the Bible, why don't you sit down and read it? Tell me where it tells us to hate. It does admonish us to help keep our neighbors from sin in order to save their souls. If you would give that idea some serious thought you would not consider it to be such a bad idea.

Concerning your NC vote on the definition of marriage, I would have voted that marriage was between a man and a woman ONLY. And, before you start, I didn't say anything about race, only between a man and woman. That is exactly what the Bible says and I agree with it. Homosexuality is deviant behavior while heterosexuality is prescribed. I don't care if you have personal friends that are gay and you enjoy their company, it is wrong and you would be openly abetting them in their sin. By rejecting God, you are accepting all the evil practices as acceptable behavior and perpetuating it to the point of it being taught to our children and further dragging us down. My beliefs, and those of others like me, are not baseless biases. They are based on the Bible and the laws of our God. Anyone can control their gender. Love for another person can be had without it being carnal. Carnal love between same sex people is deviant and you will never be able to change it to anything but deviant. We were made with a specific gender for sexual purposes and God has expressly said anything other is an abomination.

Yes, I believe one can lead a moral life but I am not certain you know the definition of morality. Morality means conformity to the rules of right conduct; moral and virtuous conduct. Where do those rules come from? The Bible. For thousands of years it has given us our rules of conduct. Those rules have given us our moral quality or character. They have also told us what is virtuous in sexual matters and chastity. If you will read the Bible, it tells us that things that were once considered good will be changed. Things that were bad will be considered good. That is exactly what has happened to us by trying to eliminate God from our lives. He made the rules for us to follow and become moral. The deviant ways of today are destroying any semblance of decent moral living but there are those of us who will resist the changes with all due diligence.

I have told you that I wasn't casting aspersions at your parents when I talked about being raised in a Christian home. I was raised in a Christian home but we had our faults, just like everyone else. Thankfully, that raising has helped me to raise my own family and they all do believe in and follow God. Using you statement from above, if you had been raised that way, you might understand what is wrong with our society. Your comment about the KKK, White Supremacists, etc., may say they follow God but, truth of the matter is they are not following God at all. He doesn't teach such drivel. Many sins and atrocities have been committed in the name of God but the people doing so were far from true followers of God.
