Judicial review has been around for a long time, soon after the country was founded. Whether you think anything in the constitution is subject to interpretation or review is irrelevant, but it does make good potty reading material.

We the people represents the concept of a government chosen by the people through free elections. The only way you can take it back is through the election process, by changing the people you chose to represent you. It does not mean you get to be involved in every aspect of the government, and it doesn't mean you can ignore law that is not pleasing to you. We the people represents the majority, it is a majority rule system of government. You certainly can whine and moan about the government being tyrants, but we the people voted for them. It comes down to there isn't enough of "you" to change the make up of "we"

In my world i don't get to vote on the constitutional amendments. Neither do you in your world. So relax, we are both minorities and we are not about to be enslaved anytime soon.

Representative democracy is exactly what I described. "we the people" elect representatives into office, and they get to vote on everything. The only way we can take the government back is through the election process. It is also a majority rule because the representative who gets the majority of the vote gets into office. Every senate/congressional election is a majority rule situation. Every Presidential election is pretty much about the 5x% gasing the other 4x%, unless you have rogue electors who votes against their constituents' wishes or a repeat of Bush/Gore. The demographics of congress and senate is a reflection of the majority.

Spare the rhetoric. Tyranny.... please, and I own guns because I want world peace.

At least Conservative Americans have seen the warning signs and are watching for it while hoping it doesn't happen. How is it that Tea Party, or other groups that want smaller government and a strict adherence to the Constitution that made us the "super-power" both politically, militarily, industrially and economically up until the last decade, are considered radical extremists?
 
The browning of America aided and abetted by the Communist in Chief. Breaking the back of the American People who work and pay taxes. Heck if you adopt in your State one of the many hoops is to show adequate income. MaoBAma just wants to go further indebt. Ahhh, that means we CAN'T afford them.
 
There was a talking head Democrat Senator with a Hispanic surname on the tube today, and one of his comments was that we were one of the wealthiest nations on earth. The common misconception is that we can afford to care for these "poor children". While it's probably true that our people are per capita more wealthy than most, our country is both financially and morally bankrupt. Our idiot in chief sees a problem, and his solution is to want to throw 4 BILLION at the symptoms without addressing the problem. If your car is leaking oil, and your solution is to stock up on oil rather than fixing the leak, you will always be buying more oil.
 
I am not sure what is going on in the near by town of Crystal River Fl. But tonight as we were driving by there were several trailer homes sitting on the National Guard/Army Reserve property. They did not look set up, just new to the property.
I really hope they are not considering housing people on the Armory property.
