Link RemovedCrazy how true these statements are. Not sure Adolf Hitler said that though...I'm pretty sure it Barack Obama and somebody was just able to see in the future.
How true! Just like now.

I don't buy this story. This is one data point. There are better ways to shutdown ammo factories than to enrich the companies who make ammo. I would take this with a huge bottle of salt.

I needed to pick something up at my local Walmart so I wandered over to the ammunition section to see what (if anything) was in stock. The shelves were typically bare, with mostly 30-06 and some 410 shells, but nothing for my .40 or my wife's 38spl.
While standing there, an older gentleman started talking to me about the lack of ammunition in the stores, including how hard it has been for him to find even 22LR. He then starts telling me that his son works for Homeland Security and told him that they are buying everything that they can get their hands on. I agree with him on the difficulty purchasing ammunition right now, stating that I have heard of the ammunition stockpiling by Homeland Security.
However it was his next statement that really got my attention - he then proceeds to tell me that, according to his son, Homeland Security is warehousing the ammunition and then destroying it as fast as they can.
Take this conversation for what it is worth - however it is well publicized that Homeland Security has been purchasing MASSIVE quantities of ammunition, however I have a hard time believing that they are using hollow points for training. In addition, there are reports of Homeland Security purchasing and refurbishing 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles, armored checkpoints and perhaps most chilling - cardboard targets of pregnant women, mothers, small children and the elderly.
I know liberals aren't the brightest bulbs in the box, but I have a very hard time believing this story. I mean not only would it be indisputable evidence of them trying to circumvent the 2nd amendment, they would also be MAJORLY wasting tax dollars...all while the 2nd amendment and the national deficit/gov't spending are the 2 issues this administration is under the most scrutiny about! Are they really THAT stupid? Seems like that would be opening doors for potential impeachment to me.
The regime is flushing the dollar down every toilet they can find. So to 'enrich' them? sure, why not? The dollar is scheduled to collapse in the third quarter of this year anyway.
Is the Fed artificially controlling ammo? You bet they are. Are they destroying it? No, they will use it to kill you, and they have every intention of doing so.
Wow....I did not read another post in this thread, sorry! First off the old guy and/or his son are idiots. I don't think you or 90% of those on this sight have ANY idea what the department of "Homeland Security" is. No one works for Home land security, many agencies do fall under homeland security including the secret service, TSA, customs, border patrol the US Coast Guard and quite a few others. The agencies that fall under the department of homeland secutity employ close to 100,000 uniformed law enforcement officers that carry a firearm. They use a lot of ammo to train, and some of the agencies do stockpile some ammo. The 1.3 to 1.8 billion rounds everyone talks about are to be purchased over a 5 year period and have NOTHING to do with the current ammo shortage. Its all about supply and demand and ammo that is being horded by the American People not the government. I happen to believe there are good reasons to keep a supply of ammo and other supplies in our homes, and reason to distrust our government. But the contension that the Border Patrol, TSA and Coast Guard are buying all the ammo and using part of it to practice shooting old folks, children and pregnant ladies then destroying the remainder is moronic.
@AndeyHall: I agree this is a waste of our tax dollars if used to buy then destroy ammunition. However, when has waste ever stopped a government project? The net effect of the buy up of available ammunition is two fold: decreasing the availability (a libertard goal for sure) and increasing the cost thereby taking $$ away from the ammunition buying public.
Who said the liberals do not use sound economic principles (okay, only when it suits their agenda).
And Just because I am a wise a$$: a firearm without ammunition leaves me two-armed.
