Walmart Done Went Crazy !

If they would only stock it 2wks ago I bought 5 boxes went back the next day to purchase a different shell and the shelves were bare and still today they are bare. Is Walmart trying to make points with Obama or what ?

It might be that WalMart already knows what Obama is planing to do with the sale of Ammo. Then it also just might be they are not wanting to be stuck with Ammo. they cannot sell. I am sure soon we will all know the real answers.

Walmart tells me there is no issue. They can't stock it fast enough. There are guys waiting every morning to see what came in overnight.

Lots of the people waiting I am betting are small dealers, wanting stock for their stores to sell.

That is what we had to do on some ammo. Distributors say it might be a month before they get any of certain types back in. On 1 Jan 2013 we had 50 boxes of 22.LR. By 5 Jan 2013 we had 0 boxes and had been limiting the amount to each buyer.

I was told WalMart is not going to stock any more ammunition because of Obama. They well clear out whatever stock they have and that will be it.

Obama said nothing about anything in regards to Ammo. Now Obama will sign 23 executive orders, he only spoke of a few. So Ammo. could be in one of the ones he did not discuss today. So we still need to get a full report.

I heard the owner of a local gun shop say this morning that his two box ban was aimed at stopping the flea market dealers from cleaning his stock out and jacking the price up two to thee times what they are paying for it. I actually heard one of these fles markerter's cuss the owner out in the store before he was told to leave of face the police being called.

Just curious... how much ammo does one have to have stocked up to be labeled a hoarding fool?

I know this thread was months ago- but I do feel that many of the posters here- are speaking of hoarders- in terms of people who got up, went out, and purchased quantities far in excess of what is necessary (that whatever amount you deem is "necessary" and multiply that by a number between 2-50 lol jk but I don't know what quantifies as necessary- but the same guy camping out every week in front of walmart with intel on the shipments- might be one of those over-doers)- as a direct reaction to the shooting tragedies (dec 12' onward)- and cleaned the shelves while their fellow gun owners stood behind them- and left them with nothing.

So I'm not playing fair because I buy 1000 and 500 rds at a time.

Sorry, I live in the country and I'm the only guy on the block.

Limiting ammo sales is a form of censorship, it restricts my right under The Constitution to express myself while defending myself.

Sorry if I hurt anybodys feel bads. lol That too is covered by The Constitution.

Hey if you feel good being a horder and keeping a fellow shooter from being able to buy their Ammo. Then it's your call be happy.

Ya know... that's just how some of us shop. I almost ALWAYSE buy in bulk. .22 and 9mm for sure. .30-06 at least 100 at a time.

Its a price thing!

You're right, it is a price thing. I, like a lot of people, live in the boonies. It's a 75 mile round trip to get ammo. At $3.79 a gallon I can't just run to LGS for a box of shells. So, yeah, I buy bulk too. It's too expensive to buy by the box of sw40 cal!
