My neighbors are target practicing

Haven't heard this sound for almost 5 months! My neighbor is chopping away with maybe a .40 at a stump. Go George! He's overconfident about the EO situation and beginning to shoot again. I'm beginning to turn into a hoarder, myself.

Are you shooting? I'm even getting stingy with my .22 shorts.

Ask him if it is ok to take it, and he may save it for you in the future. That is my attitude at the range and it has paid off big time.

Heck last Sunday my neighborhood sounded like a small war zone. I think somebody with a new AR must have shot off a few hundred rounds.

Too late. It was .45LC. Needed some of those. From the looks of it, he never picks anything up. Even his McDonalds.

I wished I lived outside city limits...

I was shooting away in my back yard and a neighbor from down the road came over to tell me it was illegal. I told her I would check on it. There is a no shooting zone established 500 yards around the lake by my house. There is a leg of the lake that sticks out from the main body and my house is 436 yards from the tip of that leg, according to Google satellite maps. I cried.

Just went out to get my mail, I live in a rural area -- I could hear three different guys practicing in three different directions, kind of unusual around here for AFTER DEER SEASON, not complaining though --- it's the sound of FREEDOM!
Being in upsate NY -- I just hope I can KEEP ON HEARING IT.

Tape measure, get. Measure. At 501 yards you are good to go.

I love to shoot and have been accumulating ammo as best possible. I haven't shot in awhile due to ammo shortages in the local stores. I'm hoping the craziness will die down soon. This can't go on much longer.

Reloading makes most sense. Picked up 1000 once shot cartridges for $38 for my 40 and $25 for my 9mm. Final cost is less than 1/2 of store bought.

it's starting to calm down. Last time I was at Walmart they had 5 of those 100 round Winchester boxes in 9mm and .45

....I bought them all.

I'm not so stingy with the FMJ ball ammo - it's supposed to be practice ammo after all and we need to stay in practice. The defense rounds...those I'm keeping locked up for a while.

I’ve been a member of a shooting club for a while now; it’s got everything you’d need, trap, skeet, pistol & long range shooting areas, even though it’s only 5 miles from my house, last summer I set up a shooting range at my house. I have 5 acres with 3 of them as a back drop to my range. I’ve used 10 railroad ties as the main back drop, with 2x4’s secured to the railroad ties so it’s really safe concerning stray bullets. In front of the back stop I have an old swing set stand to which I hang old beer can’s filled with water to shoot at along with 3 posts that I place used intact clay pigeon’s on a nail, they really dance and explode when hit with our 22lr bullets. I’ve also got an old pick nick table with a large umbrella over it for shade. Needless to say we love it, including my 7 year old grandson. I’ve never had any negative feedback from my neighbors, although I don’t shoot on Sundays, just to keep everybody happy. It also lets everyone around my house know that this isn’t a gun free home.

The Saturday after Sandy Hook, I started buying ammo to put back just in case. Glad I did, our Wal Mart is out of every thing.

A little dynamite at the proper place on the dam will fix this issue! lol
