Now, I'll admit that I didn't read all the previous posts......

For concealed carry, I choose my Colt's Defender the most these days. It is lighter and carries somewhat better than my full size 1911's that I carried prior to getting the Defender. I like the Officer's size grip frame and I've had no negative issues with the short 3" slide arrangement.

I know this question is about "concealed" carry, but I most often carry openly. I like the way a 1911 rides high and tight to the body in a quality belt rig. Other than a 1911, I'll often carry a Colt's SAA in a traditional Cheyenne rig while working in the woods.

Correction needed

You have listed a "S&W Chief special Mod 39". The Chief special is a 38 special mod 36 revolver, and the Mod 39 is a 9mm semi auto. I used to carry a S&W mod 39 till my big brother nagged me into trading it to him, now I mainly carry a Sig 239 in 9mm, and sometimes my S&W Mod 36 Chief special. I'll be voting for all 3 with only 2 votes. Once in a while I’ll carry my old WW2 issue P38 which isn’t on the list, but don’t think you’ll have anyone else that could vote for that one.

Favorite Concealed Carry

I usually carry a Springfield XD 45 Compact with a Crossbreed IWB, If i am dressing up to go out i carry a Taurus PT-709 (Slim) also with a Crossbreed IWB, easily concealed with any type of jacket.
