Now, I'll admit that I didn't read all the previous posts......
For concealed carry, I choose my Colt's Defender the most these days. It is lighter and carries somewhat better than my full size 1911's that I carried prior to getting the Defender. I like the Officer's size grip frame and I've had no negative issues with the short 3" slide arrangement.
I know this question is about "concealed" carry, but I most often carry openly. I like the way a 1911 rides high and tight to the body in a quality belt rig. Other than a 1911, I'll often carry a Colt's SAA in a traditional Cheyenne rig while working in the woods.
