Mine is a Kimber Pro Carry II .45 CAP, but I did get the conversion kit to convert it to a .22 cal for less expensive practice at the gun range.

i prefer desert eagle 50 ae and 44 mag unless weather and clothing allow 357 magnum snub nose or 380 acp. I also prefer using hornady critical defense style bullets for the expansion and lack of over penetration

When wearing cargo pants (most times) I carry my Kimber Ultra Carry II (.45 ACP). Otherwise I carry my Kahr CM9... The good ol' Glock 26 is my other option... "Variety is the spice of life" BTW, this makes proficiency training for the three guns more fun and interesting...

Gotta believe that the .380 & 9mm combined are the vast majority of carry guns. At the range where I shoot most people carry 1 of those 2. Only a few carry .40 or .45. People are realizing that with the excellent defensive ammo made now, the .380 and 9mm are more than adequate as a carry gun.

The 45 is a favorite of mine, and I have four handguns in that caliber. But when weather and clothing doesn't allow for a large gun, it's going to be the LCP that I carry.:redface:

Sprinfield armory has a compact xd-s chambered in 45 acp it is small enouh to be concealed and it's price is $599

Hey NRAlifer! Nice Thunderbird. Car was way ahead of it's time. I agree with you on the lcp for stealthiness. I have one and I'm impressed with thw accuracy of the gun up to 30 ft. 45 cal also has good knock down power if you can get away with carrying it in a mid size. Bryan All American

the +p has a little more kick to it, but still very manageable, and it never gave me any issues
