Ok so I pretty much carry most of the time now a beretta 92 and I am looking for some thing a bit smaller for warm weather the one gun is a no brainer the other one I know little about. So could some one give their thoughts on the Bersa 380?
Thank you

Bersa 380 is a wonderful little cc pistol! Highly accurate/fixed barrel/7-shot/concealable and completely dependable... priced right, too.
What more can I say? I carry it every Sunday at Church, and anytime I need a smaller gun. Mostly I carry my Bersa 9mm UC.

Firestorm is the precursor to the Thunder... the only difference is the trigger guard.

why couldn't you continue to carry your berretta? living here in Fla, it is warm most of time and I and others carry full sized weapons all the time, my smallest carry is a berretta nano and the biggest is a FN57. get a good IWB holster and a good belt and you should be able to conceal almost anything.

FWIW the nano is about the same size as the bersa and many believe that the 9mm is much better thab a 380.

you may consider looking at the berretta, M&P shielp, kahr cm9 or a walther PPS in addition to that bersa

if you carry a large 9mm most of the time, and want a smaller carry gun for very warm weather, why downgrade to 380?

not that there is a thing wrong with that bersa....its a great pistol BUT there are many fine small 9mm's out there. I use a Kahr cm9 and love it. great for deep concealment, with very little if anything to snag on...a trigger as smooth as glass ... decent sights (that can be switched to night sights if you want) although it does have considerably less rounds/magazine (6+1 &/or 7+1).

also look at the nano 9 (also beretta) and s&w shield.....and there's also some fine small 9's made by bersa if you like that brand.... and a few more that I just can't think of right now. The alternatives to a 380 are plentiful, in packages as small or smaller than the bersa 380

ALSO, that bersa 380 is of blowback design, and will recoil (at least it feels like it to me) greater than the small locked breech 9's...well at least some of them.

Yeah unless that you are bent on getting a .380 but their are tons of small 9mm out their I love mine XDs with an extra 7 rds mag now I'm not saying that you can go that way but I would stay with at least a 9mm.

My normal carry is a 40 Shield and I love it, both for carry and for operation and accuracy. I carry it in a Cross Breed Super Tuck and it is very comfortable and disappears from sight. Before the Shield I carried my S&W M&P Full size 40. It carries very well in a Cross Breed also but at the end of the day the weight
difference is noticeable.

You may be right it might be best to stick with it regardless a lot cheaper as well, I live in Indiana and althought not typically an open carry state it is legal because the law is silent on it. The only thing that perhaps I should not even worry about is some one knowing that I carry, I just rember getting a few diry looks last year with just a t shirt over it last summer. Part of me wants to just say forget it and not worry about hurtng someones feelings because Heaven forid that some one thought a law abiding citizen was carrying a gun to protect their family. I rember some woman giving me a seriously dirty look when I turned the wrong way and leaned to hold open a door for her and a clear outline of the gun and holster was visible under my t shirt. Oh well all we can do is be polite and hope for he best.

Taht might be an idea Since I stocked up on 9mm and will be able to enjoy shooting at the range this summer even though there is a perceived shortage of 9mm.
Perhaps saving up a bit longer would be worth it to get an upgraded model over the Bersa?

My wife wants that Kahr CM9 we test fired one at the range (AR Armory) and the trigger was like butter and very accurate.

The Bersa is the best value for the money spent you can find. It is accurate, dependable and only misfires if you screw up and limpwrist the pistol. I know that a lot of people bad mouth the 380 ACP but have yet to find someone who will take a round in the partitionthe partition chest to prove it is a woosy round. I carry mine year round and trust it completely. And in a self-defens case in court no one can accuse me of deliberately carrying something "too big".

the courtroom claim that someone is carrying too big is a myth! any lawyer worth his salt would eat the prosecutor who tried to say that for lunch. as for the .380 round, yes you're right not too many would volunteer to take a round nor would anyone offer to take a round from a .22 or .25 but when you are playing for keeps it would be wise to have a round with the best possible ballistics and a .380 is not that round. you certainly are free to carry what you want and I hope that you never need to prove your point.

I was watching "Shooting Gallery" the other day and they were shooting different calibers at a plywood partition box. The 380 acp would go through 4 separate 1/2 inch plywood partitions and was buried almost all the way through the 5th piece. Looks like it would work to me.
