Subject: Crimes; weapons; negligent storage of a firearm

Statement of purpose: This bill proposes to make it a crime for a person to
negligently leave a firearm accessible to a child.

As these read, there are some very broad interpretations. As a Vermonter with firearms, it is very important that you review these two bills and express your opinions - frequently - to your representatives.

Not worried about it. Vermont will see it as the start of a attack on gunrights. The only ones who will be supporting it/ pushing for it will be the god damn hippies that have overrun my great state. Are you Vermonter? What area? Born and rasied? Or a transplant?
 
It looks to me like the law imposes criminal liability for the consequences of irresponsible firearms ownership.
