Personally, I go with underbanking. What do you do?

I've gotten hard copy checks from the VA but they prefer to do it direct deposit. I cannot foresee any situation where I'd ever tell someone giving me money that I'll only take it in paper form (check or cash) if it's for my labor or monthly pay.

Now... if it's from an individual.... Cash speaks nice and clearly...

The banks will get scalped this year and your money will be gone.

I have posted on this and I have sited the sources, FDIC and Bank of England white paper, also Harvard, also SilverDocs.com

In today's society, it'd come off as... err... off, if you asked for cash only from an employer. The assumption is, if you're a reputable person... you'd have a bank account. Y'know, only drug dealers use cash for everything. I try to do as many transactions in cash, that I can. Most people prefer it as payment, obviously. The gun shop loves my cash, heh. Anyway, after each paycheck I remove as much cash as I can while maintaining the 'numbers' for electronic payment. At current, I do not have the option to be payed in cash... Uncle Sam only pays with direct deposit.

I don't see comlpete theft of every dime of the people's money, yet. Could the "rich" see a percentage of their 'money' stolen from them, yes, I see that happening in time. I also see a lot of people getting very upset over the talks of taking people's savings, Cyprus style... and thus, bank runs. However, I also see Cyprus style account restrictions in place almost immediately in an attempt to control & maintain the 'integrity' of the banking system. From a simple view though, cash in hand is more valuable than magical numbers in a bank's super-server somewhere.
