He had two choices, endure or die, I was never faced with that decision, as were most of the 9,087,000 military personnel served on active duty during the Vietnam Era (August 5, 1964 - May 7, 1975). If McCain is a hero, so are the other 9 million people that served during Nam. I prefer to reserve the title "hero" to those that are actual heros, even if that excludes most of that 9 million from being called a hero.

You made a definitive statement about what "he will do." You have no idea what he'll do. If I needed to raise an economy I certainly wouldn't trust Ms. Clinton. She could not get a job as the CEO of AT&T. Why? Unqualified by education and experience. And as a retired attorney I wouldn't be so arrogant as to suggest I have the knowledge or experience to do it either. You made a lot of unfounded generalizations in that post. I guess that is where we differ. No where in the Bible does it say for us to be stupid and try to have someone kill us. On the contrary, we would be complicit in the crime of murder if we intentionally caused someone to kill us. I know you have difficulty in sorting out things concerning religion but my post was not a clear statement that I don't believe in the afterlife. I don't know if you have ever been in a foxhole with bullets whizzing by but I have. Contrary to your assertion, there were many believers in foxholes and I never saw anyone deny God after a firefight, they were too busy thanking Him for bringing them through it. And I have seen those severely wounded praying with a Chaplain just before they died. That attested to their belief in God. nogods, if you don't believe in God, that is your little red wagon and you can pull it. From your many posts, I don't believe you know much about the Bible and you ricochet from one topic to another. Please, if you want to argue against religion, at least study it some so you will know what to argue.
