I've seen lots of t-shirts, stickers, and other things with slogans declaring support for the Second Amendment, stating "it's my right, not a privilege," or that my guns will be taken "out of my cold, dead, hands." Many various "tacticool" shirts as well, or just awesome pictures. A lot of them I really like, but I was wondering, are there any that say why we carry? Antis, clearly, don't get it, and many of them seem to view those shirts with trepidation. Where we see the truth, that we're simply trying to protect our rights and are willing to fight for them, all they see is someone willing to shoot lots of people (ridiculous).
No, I'm not saying we shouldn't wear them. The more times people wear them, the more often they'll start noticing, "But he seems so normal!" or "She was so nice!" I just tend to be more... well, I'm shy and don't like to stand out (my husband's been begging for me to dye my hair colorful or do something "adventurous" for a long time--might when he comes back for deployment even though it makes me nervous), plus I don't want a confrontation with my son around, and people are idiots. Are there any shirts that are a little more subtle, but get the point across? GunGoddess.com has some pretty ones I've got my eye on (maybe after Christmas), but I was thinking something like "Protected by Smith & Wesson" would be cool. Or maybe a picture of a gun with "for my family." Any ideas?
Sorry if this is in the wrong location... I wasn't sure where to post it!
