Sleeve Guns???

On duty, I'm unarmed. Off duty is a whole 'nother story. I carry my hammerless .38 as a back-up with a couple other guns and at least two knives. Off duty, I take it upon myself to patrol my neighborhood and businesses I frequent. Sometimes I even listen to the police scanner and act when appropriate. I don't need a tin star bought and paid for by corrupt politicians and bussinessmen. I'm a self-appointed guardian.
 
Just wondering. Is there such a thing as a short sleeve gun for summer use? Just joking.......

What is your off-duty carry setup in terms of guns, caliber, etc.?

I see unarmed security in many places, even the bigger grocery stores in the area. One I see frequently is probably 90 years old, and can't weight more than 90 pounds. I feel sorry for him, that at his age he still has to work, and perhaps his presence actually stops some petty theft/shoplifting but No, I don't feel more secure that he is standing there. What does a person in the security industry do when confronted by a bad guy with a gun? I know the secret service says they will take a bullet to protect the POTUS, is that a standard within the security industry?

Perhaps you should look at what ever standards are required in your state to become "armed private security", but if you are employed as 'unarmed' security, then you need to remain unarmed, and not a wanna be warrior.

Years ago, no make that decades ago, there was a popular drive-in restaurant and local attraction for the area "youth" here where the food was great and it's wasn't that hard to also order beer even if you were underage, even when 18 was the drinking age. (long before fast food chains existed)

They had a "rent-a-cop wanna be' that was everyone jokingly refereed to as "flashlight Banks" (his last name was Banks), sorry to say he was a local joke, and if I mention "flashlight Banks" to anyone the from that era that lived here, they know exactly who I am talking about.

Do they call you "flashlight dog"?

I usually carry a pair of glock 21s in thigh holsters. My .38 at the small of my back. A few knives hidden along my person. And, sometimes, a longarm strapped to my back. Usually an AR-15 or remington 870. Basically, I'm locked and loaded and ready to take it to the badguy with everything I've got. The day the wolf comes for the sheep when I'm around, pray for the wolf.

I would bet he also has a Conceal Carry Badge! I do not ever want this guy patrolling my neighborhood!! He is dangerous! If/when he ever shoots someone he will become a poster child for the anti's!!!!

I am going to put this guy on my Ignore List because he will give all of us a "bad" name!

You're right, I am dangerous. Dangerous to the scum who stalks the shadowy alleyways, the darkened streets all in search of victims to rob, rape and kill. But if these degenerate dirtbags come for me, they'll find they've bitten off more than they can chew!!! Lady Justice has made me her paraclete, and I will not let her down. For she is my friend, my companion, my lover!!!

Perhaps! I feel this guy will shoot someone and then when the anti's dig into his computer, I do not want it seen that I viewed his bilge! This guy is dangerous and if I lived near him I would be in touch with my local LE!

Sadly, I don't have the money for a Barrett. I would like one in case the crap hits the fan and society has plunged into Mad Max.
