I agree with you that He is coming back, and I feel that day is not far off. The September time frame seems correct and I would not disagree with that. My only disagreement is in knowing the actual day. Jesus said in Matt. 24:36, "But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only." I think it is so close that I won't quibble about it either way!

I was reading something the other day, that leads me to understand why the day and hour are knot known to man. There are so many time zones in out world that it can be one of 3 days somewhere in the world at any one time, and all time zones are a different hour. Make sense?
 
The Question of Knowing
All of the above themes suggest that the Rapture will occur at the Feast of the Trumpets, beginning Tishrei 1, on the Hebrew Calendar. How is it possible to know the “day” of the Rapture when Jesus said that “no one knows the day or the hour?”
The Hidden Day
The Feast of the Trumpets is also known as Yom HaKeseh, or the “Hidden Day.” The term Keseh, or keceh, is derived from the Hebrew root kacah, which means to “conceal, cover, or hide.” Every day during the month of Elul (the month preceding Tishrei) a trumpet was blown to warn the people to turn back to God. The exception was the thirtieth, or last, day of the month (the day preceding the Feast of the Trumpets). On this day, the trumpet was not blown but all was silent. This was done to underscore the fact that much about the Feast of Trumpets is concealed, or shrouded in mystery. This somewhat mystical aspect is alluded to in the Psalms: “Sound the shofar on the new moon, in concealment of the day of our festival” (Psalms 81:3).
Adding to the mystery surround the Feast of Trumpets, the time of its commencement was uncertain, as it was uniquely dependent on the sighting of the New Moon. According to custom, the New Moon (a tiny sliver of the crescent) would have to be sighted by “two witnesses.” These witnesses were then required to go before the Sanhedrin (the Jewish religious court) and testify of its appearance before the feast could actually begin. Due to these two factors (the uncertain timing of the moon-sighting and the time required to have the sighting sanctified) the Feast of Trumpets was extended to a full forty eight hours; it therefore became the only two-day feast (Tishrei 1, 2) practiced in Israel. Because the Feast of Trumpets was two days long and no one knew what hour (depending on the moon) it would begin, it became the only feast of which it was said, “No one knows the day or hour” it will commence.
The Lord’s famous words in Matthew 24, “But of that day or hour no one knows,” are thus a reference to the Feast of Trumpets. This recalls the earlier acknowledged commonness of dual meanings in Scripture and the fact that a word or verse can have both a literal and a symbolic meaning. Here, in addition to making a true, literal statement, “No one can know the (exact) day or hour” of His coming, Jesus was alluding to the fact that this coming will occur at some point during the two-day Feast of Trumpets – the only feast that no one knew which “day or hour” it would begin.

Yes, that will start the 1,000 year reign. But seven years before that He comes in the air and call us, those who believe.
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemous, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affections, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of the pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power there of: from such turn away.

I can think of no better description than this, as to what is going on in the world today. Ladies and Gentleman, I give you the "End of Days.".........

Ezekiel's unveiling of the end-times coalition that will constitute a catastrophe second only to the destruction at Armageddon seems a page of history that is in process of being turned at this very moment.

The protagonist nations making up the apocalyptic horde of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 rumble ominous forewarning across the face of the modern Middle East. Their threats flicker in lightning-like shards against the increasingly darkening clouds of long-ago prophesied evil. While the end-of-the-age storm front gathers exactly as Jesus and the Old and New Testament prophets foretold, only a few see the danger coming.

You who are reading this commentary are among that very limited number of prophetic weather observers. Few, even within the evangelical church, want to think on things that every indicator screams in siren-like fashion is coming upon this generation that is ripe for God's judgment.

Pastors have life lessons to prepare, marriages and funerals to preach, and building and church administration budgets to oversee. People in pews have children to raise, college tuitions to worry about funding, and the many cares of daily life in Americana in which to engage. The young--and not-so-young in many cases--have their cyber entertainments and other forms of amusements and business activities to conduct. Romances are to be nurtured and engaged in, while preparation for long lives of living on earth takes up every waking moment.

There observably is no time among God's people to think on what God wants His children to know about things to come. And, those things are on the very cusp of happening.

This is all in consideration of life in the most blessed nation ever to grace the earth's surface. Things across most of the rest of the world are much, much different for the most part. Many in those regions are longing for their Lord to intervene on their behalf. Areas of the world other than North America and some parts of Europe especially are constituted of populations that face daily struggles even the poorest of Americans cannot fathom. As the just-released book by Robert L. Maginnis, Never Submit, points out in vivid description the genocide against Christians and others that is taking place like in ancient times. The raging tide of militant, satanically inspired Islamists threatens anyone in their path.

Jesus admonition was, I'm convinced, issued particularly for this generation--a generation of people who are doing anything but what the Lord exhorts in His words of forewarning: "And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch " (Mark 13: 37).

If you are watching, you cannot miss the apocalyptic axis that is forming at this very moment. The horrendous force, with Islam at its center, will, when the Lord himself allows, bring truly cataclysmic destruction. Preachers and teachers of the Bible who believe it to be the inerrant Word of the Living God should be watching and understanding what is happening while prophecy is preparing for fulfillment. But they aren't. They are as willfully ignorant of what the headlines portend as are this presidential administration and the world of diplomats who are supposed to be the smartest people on the planet.

U.S. presidential administration operatives and the world's diplomats have excuse for their not having a clue. They don't know the Lord, who knows the end from the beginning, and has told of this great invasion of the Middle East, which is building by the moment.

The people who have been commissioned by the Lord of Heaven to shepherd the flocks--the children of God on earth--have no such excuse.

Briefly, to bring these woefully and willfully ignorant "shepherds" up to date, it is the Ezekiel 38 and 39 prophecy that should not be missed by any Bible student who believes God's Word as being literally true at every level.

The Russian, Iranian (Persian), Turkish (Togarmah) coalition is forming at an amazing rate. The following brief excerpts bring this stunning end-times prophecy starkly into view. I don't go into the Turkish part of the axis in this commentary, but, suffice it to say that Turkey is in the news for its growing, hegemonic influence in the Mideast region as strongly as are Russia and Iran.

Russian and Iran have grown close in recent years, with delegations from each country regularly visiting one another to ink arms deals and other agreements aimed at strengthening Iran’s nuclear program...

Last week, a senior Iranian naval commander warned the United States against ever taking military action on Iranian interests, claiming that the response would be “unpredictably strong.”...

The military leader went on to claim that “Iranian Armed Forces are now at the highest level of preparedness” and that “only the dead body of the American troops realizes the power of the Islamic Revolution. The prophecy is clear, and for the Christian--all who have been given the commission by the Lord Himself to "watch" for prophetic developments--the message should be clear. The Gog-Magog attack is shaping in these troubled times. Israel is the target, as that nation is the target for a growing world of God-haters.

For a number of reasons, my own opinion is that this attack will take place following the Rapture of the Church. This means that His call to all believers must be very near indeed. All the more reason to "watch."

"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:13).

Not exactly the words one wants to ever hear from his supervisor. But what if you were fired from a toilsome and difficult job, in a dirty and dangerous place, only to be hired by a perfect Employer, for a perfect job, in a beautiful place of countless blessing and reward?

The Bible teaches that the Lord Jesus Christ will reign over a literal one- thousand year kingdom on this earth from His throne in Jerusalem one day (Isa. 2:1-4;11, Zech. 14:9-21, Rev. 20:4-5). Sadly, for too many believers, this truth almost seems like a fairy tale because they simply don't mix faith with the Word of God (Heb. 4:2; 11:1, 6). In today's study we will consider some of the characteristics of this future Kingdom, things that will and things that will not be done "in all his holy mountain".

As part of His glorious return to earth the Lord Jesus Christ will break both the power of the nations as well as the curse that has been on the earth since Adam's sin (Isa. 11:1-9; 35, Rom. 5:12-21). Revelation 19:15 says that, "out of His mouth go's a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God." Psalm 2 as well as the prophetic books of Isaiah, Daniel, and Zechariah all echo this absolute victory that Jesus Christ will bring to His people Israel and in turn to the whole earth (Isa. 24:21-22, Dan. 2:44-45, Zech. 12:3-4; 14:1-3).

But putting down earth's rebellion is only the start. The Bible also teaches that the One who wore a crown of thorns will also remove the curse from which they grew. Zechariah 14:8-9 tells of this wonderful healing that will begin when the King of the Kingdom is received. "And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one."

How Will We Serve the King?

Well first, let's think about some jobs and industries which will no longer be needed in the Kingdom Age. This of course only represents a partial list, as it is impossible to envision just how fully the curse has affected the earth and how much effort mankind spends fighting the consequences of it (Gen. 3:17-19).

It goes without saying that all employment in immoral industries such as Casinos, Nightclubs and Liquor Stores will be gone. While it's true that there will be unsaved people born during the Kingdom years, all sinful activity will be held in check by the omniscient and instant judgment of God (Ps. 2:9, Isa. 11:4, Rev. 19:15).

Gone too, will be all branches of the military and all factories that manufacture munitions and weapons of war. Every military academy across the world will close as Almighty God's Word declares , "he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plow shares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." Micah 4:3.

There will no longer be a need for policemen, law enforcement, night watchmen or guards of any kind. All prisons will be closed and there will be no employment relating to the criminal justice system or courts, whether at the state, local, or federal level. This means no judges, lawyers, bail bondsmen, bounty hunters or private detectives.

Since the only people that will die during the Kingdom years are those who commit an open act of rebellion, there will be no hospitals, doctors, nurses, convalescence homes, emergency responders or search and rescue personnel. Drug stores and the pharmacists' they employ will no longer be necessary and no one will research diseases, run charities or lobby for a social cause. Both the psychiatrist and the psychologist will find different employment for lack of customers.

While farming will still be practiced, good crops will grow naturally and it will be impossible to grow a weed. Both the pesticide and fertilizer industry will cease and there will be no need for either the veterinarian or the exterminator. Instead of back breaking work, during the Kingdom, farming and gardening will be fun!

Since the weather and climate will be perfect, there will be no weathermen to try and predict it or insurance companies to sell products that protect against it. Manufacturing will cease for any and all products that battle rust, corrosion, mold and decay. Even the cosmetic industry will stop as there will be no battle against the ravages of the aging process.

So what then will believers do and how will they serve the King of kings in the Kingdom?

The Lord Jesus taught that the key was faithfulness. "And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities." Luke 19:17. By inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Paul reminded believers, "Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful." 1 Corinthians 4:2.

Jesus will give each believer a perfect position in the Kingdom based on their faithfulness to Him today.

The Lord told his disciples, "Fear not little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Luke 12:32. God told Israel, "as a young man marries a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee." Isaiah 62:5. The Lord Jesus Christ loves us as his bride (Eph. 5:23-32)!

God promised by the prophet Zechariah, "In that day, says the LORD of hosts, everyone will invite his neighbor under his vine and under his fig tree." Zechariah 3:10.

What a beautiful description of the coming Kingdom. Just as in Solomon's day, where every tribe and family of Israel was given their own piece of property by the Lord, Zechariah assures us that the whole earth will be settled in peace and safety when the "greater than Solomon" rules with a "rod of iron" (Ps. 2:9, Isa. 11:4, Matt. 12:42, Rev. 19:15). There will be no need for locks on your doors or high fences to keep your neighbors honest.

Some might be thinking after these reflections on the Kingdom, can anything be greater? You had better be sitting down!

At the conclusion of the thousand year Kingdom on earth, God will create a new heaven and a new earth where all believers of all ages will live with Him forever (Isa. 66:22, 2 Peter 3:13, Rev. 21-22:1-5). As wonderful as we have seen that this earthly Kingdom will be, the ETERNAL dwelling place with Christ will be exponentially better!

The Apostle Paul said, "I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows) such a one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows) how that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter." 2 Corinthians 12:2-4.

Paul could only say that it would be a crime to try and describe with earthly language the beauty of God's heaven. If you only had in your language the words, "wet", "soaked", "damp" and "moist" could you describe to someone the vast and glorious Pacific Ocean? What would you tell them? It's really, really damp! It's a large wet and moist place! To even attempt it would be a crime!

Is it any wonder that God let Satan give Paul a thorn in the flesh after he had been given an eye witness view of such heavenly things (2 Cor. 12:7)?

Let us therefore keep our eye's fixed on our Savior, remembering the future He has planned for us, while we labor in the valley, introducing others to the Good Shepherd who longs to bring them to such heights as well.

For, "without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6

The perfect Boss, the perfect job, perfect co-workers, in a perfect place, with perfect pay, and an endless day...what a Rewarder indeed!

I read a book once a while back that spoke of the End Times and Rapture. It was titled, "Perhaps Today" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins of the famous "Left Behind' series of books. It explains how we (as Christians) should be living in preparation for that glorious day of The Rapture and the return of Jesus.
You ask when will that be? "PERHAPS TODAY"!

Perhaps a tree will fall on you and kill you today, perhaps you will have a heart attack or stroke, perhaps... perhaps.....

And how does this actually effect what you do, are you nicer because... "perhaps"... when your true nature is to be a jerk?

I find it preferable to have an optimistic outlook than the constant perhaps....

Rosh Hashana is known as the Hidden Day because it is the only holy day which occurs at the new moon when the moon passes the sun and is hidden from sight for about two days before the sun's light shines on it again from earth's perspective. Interestingly, this year the moon hides the sun partially at the time of this holy day which is a two day holiday. Both the sun and moon are "hidden" on Israel's Hidden Day. Coincidence?

Joining the events of a shemitah year end, a solar eclipse on Elul 29, Israel's new year holiday and a lunar eclipse on the holy day of Tabernacles is the the 50th year after a 49 year cycle (7 shemitah cycles). It is the final Year of Jubilee.


The Jubilee year is Biblically and historically a time when Israel would return to her ancestral property and be released from slavery. The last Jubilee year in 1966-67 aligned with a tetrad and saw the Jews recapture Jerusalem in the Six Day War. The temple mount is the last and most important piece of property she needs to reclaim. But that will not likely happen without an Arab/Israeli war. The next Arab/Israeli war may be sparked by the Iranian nuclear deal scheduled to be voted on in ... you guessed it, September.

We have been witness to both solar and lunar eclipses in the last year which are related to the Promised Land and her people.

"The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful Day of the Lord."



The "Day of the Lord" is the seven year Shemitah cycle we call the Tribulation period. It is the time of YHWH's wrath upon Israel and the earth. A new Shemitah cycle begins this September. The next in 2022. This may mean that the Tribulation begins either now or then and nowhere else outside of 7 year cycles. If this is the case, 2015 may be the beginning of the Tribulation Shemitah cycle.

There is a huge confrontation on the horizon between the holy God of the Bible and Islam. The heart of the confrontation is Jewish control of Jerusalem. Sept.15: The 70th UN General Assembly will begin meeting. During this session (not necessarily on the 15th), France is expected to present a resolution to the UN Security Council to divide the Promised Land (Two-State Solution) and to force a peace treaty on Israel and the PA. The United States is expected to back this resolution. It is very serious, to be on the wrong side of God when He is defending His everlasting covenant. The Lord God of Israel will literally use Jerusalem as an anvil to destroy the nations that come against it. Jerusalem will draw the nations like a moth to a light. Multitudes of people have rejected God and the Bible or just do not believe His Word. This rebellion will cause the nations to come against God’s anvil. God has warned beforehand what happens when armies try to destroy Israel and take Jerusalem. The entire world will see the mighty power of God as He uses Israel as His anvil. God uses prophecy to prove He is who He says He is, and to authenticate all the warnings and promises found in the Bible. If the UN does this, their decision will lead to the beginning of the Tribulation period and the battle of Armageddon. When the Islamic nations come against Israel and Jerusalem, God will judge them. This destruction will lead them to realize the Bible is the Word of God, and the holy God of Israel is the true God.
