A couple of funny quotes from the less educated employees of the Seattle Public Library.....

A children’s librarian wrote to library administrators: “ARE YOU KIDDING?!”
“We MUST strive to keep guns out of our very trusted, and very public space,” she wrote. “Because of our public nature, we are prime targets for random violence. No amount of ‘training’ will be able to keep staff and patrons safe, if anyone can come in with a hidden gun.”

I wonder how much security camera footage they have (anywhere in the country) of that criminal intending to shoot up a public place stopping to read a "no guns" sign, cursing to themself, and turning around and leaving.

And then there is this gem:

“We can’t in good faith tell a concerned patron who reports this to us that it is within the other patron’s right to carry a firearm (like we can tell them that it is another patron’s right to view pornography, for example), when in fact there is a chance that he/she is carrying the firearm illegally.”

A man on trial in the fatal shooting of one woman and the wounding of two others in a public library last year has testified that he bought a gun with the intent to shoot women.

A terrifying ordeal inside a Cleveland library branch Wednesday afternoon.

Police say 52-year-old Anthony Bailey stormed into the Stokes Library Branch on Superior and starting attacking people with a large rock.

A 67-year-old librarian and two men were injured in the attack.
