Scope recommendations

Looking for more information on scope recommendations for a .308 platform (Scar 17) shooting 1000+ yards.

So far, only attempted 800 yards with a 7x nikon that had a 300 blk reticle. I hit the cans...but would like something with more potential, and built for the .308.

On the low end, Vortex makes very good scopes. If you have the $$$$, Nightforce makes superb scopes. I have Vortex on a bolt action .223 and Nightforce on both of my hunting rifles.

I'm not concerned with the money, I just want to make sure I'm getting what I'm paying for.

How is night forces customer service? I hear vortex is making its way to the top of the line right now, on both quality and customer service.
