Romney and the NRA

So Romney will be making his pitch to the NRA today. What do you think about that. I think sometimes Romney, like many politicians, think the second amendment only has to do with hunting and nothing else. They think because daddy had a rifle growing up and shot a deer that there credentials to the second amendment should not be questioned. His posture to the second amendment is rocky, but are you buying what he is selling?

I would like to think that Romney is all for right to own Arms. It is my opinion that if he waivers, it will be a lot easier to persuade him, than to deal with the people in office now. I pray that Romney gets in and starts to repeal the 20, 30 plus, executive orders that have written in the last 4 years. The "O" has got to GO!

Romney is a flip-flopper. He's probably a tad better than Obummer, but not much when it comes to 2A. It's pretty sad when you have to try to pick the lesser of two evils. I can't stand the sight of either one of these bozos.

One of these days I'm going to vote in an election and note choose the lesser of two evils.

Romney will be "OK". My fear is that if the Dems retake congress (which could happen in 2014, there is always a backlash against the president's party) and pass a 10 round magazine ban; Romney would sign it. There are many repubs (like **** Chaney) that think that would be a good idea.

When Romney wins, we will still need to hold his feet to the fire. There are just as many people with "R"'s after their name as "D"'s that don't care about the RKBA. However, the "R" seem to be a bit more willing to listen to us.

Well, he's a lot better than Barry. If BO wins I believe he'll move around the shadows to prohibit guns (remember fast n furious). Romney wouldn't risk screwing up a second term.

His record is not the best but without a doubt it is a better alternative than Obama in the White House on this and any issue.

Romney is a "be anything you want him to be" feller. Rick Santorum was right.

And Romney is way past ever having to worry about protecting himself or his family from crime. He has lots of people who pay higher tax rates than he pays doing that for him.

When he was the MA Guv'nor, he said he wants nothing to do with the NRA...now at the NRA, suddenly he became a lifetime member???? What the heck? -- his speech depends on where he is speaking and to whom. I knew he was there at the convention when we went there but I wasn't prepared to go on those line just to see him. If he ends up as the nominee, I will help vote him in because I have no other choice. Oh, there might be ... but I am not going there.

Well I give the credit for learning from his past mistakes. At least he didn't tell the crowd "I own guns. I own two J. Purdey & Sons gold-inlaid shotguns I bought at a Chrisatie's auction."

I'd buy what Mickey Mouse says instead of Obama.

As far as I'm concerned... the difference between Obama and Romney is .... one is an elected turd in a hot dog bun and the other is a cow pie hoping to be elected... but both are still..... crap.

I didn't say there are any other choices... I'm only pointing out that the choices available are not any choice at all... it's still the same old crap just wrapped in a different package.

Just don't vote for an incumbent...if they were all voted out, regardless of party, it wouldn't take but about two cycles for the rest of the idiots to figure out they better listen to "we, the people". That is the only way to make the annointed ones understand they are no better than the rest of us...and, oh, by the way, they are supposed to be working FOR us, not against us.

Romney isn't my first choice either, but when it comes to Odumbo, anyone else is the better choice. Jimmy Carter would be a better choice.

Both guys have to play to their base. I trust Romney's base a lot more than Obama's. Obama can stray from his base a bit more if he wins because he would be in his second term. I'll take a 1st term republican waffler over a second term socialist with my gun rights any day.

For a long time I kept looking for "The Best". I love my country and we deserve the best. I finally came to the understanding that I would have to settle for better. barry is the absolute worst I have ever seen. If the next one is bad get rid of him after one term. What are our options? Vote for barry? Not me. Stay home and let his supporters vote uncontested? That is almost as bad. If I can't vote for the one I want I can certainly vote against the one I don't want.
