I've bought a lot of range brass with quite varied results. A recent lot of 500 pieces of 7.62x39 brass turned out to have 10% which was so oversized that attempts to resize resulted in a "belt" swaged in the case just above the extractor groove. That was an expensive waste. I've found some 5.56 brass like that but not 10%. A group of 243 Winchester showed to have been loaded far above safe levels resulting in nearly 100% of the primer pockets expanded beyond reuse. Some of the brass left on the range is because it's not worth picking up.
