Does anyone know how to go about changing a Hopkins & Allen 32 rim fire rifle to a 32 colt short center fire? I have one of these rifles that I inherited from my Grandfather. He told me it would shoot a 32 Colt short. He ground off the rim fire pin so that only the center most part still strikes the bullet. He told me that it just catches the edge of the primer on a 32 Colt Short, but shoots. I have not tried it yet, so I do not know if this actually works or not. I would like to actually convert it to a center fire rifle. Can this be done, and if so, how?
