Proposal

I know this will be difficult to do, but if enough people stand together, it can be done. My proposal is every legal firearm owning citizen boycott any products/materials/services, etc. that come from states that would step on anyone's right to defend themselves. The following states should be on the hit list-->

NEW YORK (& N.Y.C.)
ILLINOIS
NEW JERSEY
MASSACHUSETTS
MARYLAND
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
CALIFORNIA

I know there are more, but these are the ones that stand right out. Like I said, this will be difficult, but we have to start somewhere. I will share my personal example. I almost bought a Dan Wesson/CZ 1911 Specialist, but in light of the recent laws that Gov. Cuomo has signed into law. I have rescinded my order/purpose, and will be purchasing a Ruger SR1911 Commander. Anyone that can add an option, idea, etc. to this post for others to see, please do so, and that way we can start a network of boycott and protest to make our employees (the government) not see, but rue the illness of their askew manners.

Red States Unite. ONLY do business with those that are Red States. NOT succeeding but allowing selective capitalism to be once again used. (That's instead of mandated by the Gov't)

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'll start checking where the product I want to buy is from. I won't mind paying a little more to keep my money out of a gun hating state.

Living in the middle of the Empire State, this may be tough, but I will give it my best shot.

...."Empire State"....how ironic is THAT?

Arizona is a major supplier of fruits and veggies, as is Florida and Texas.
California would take a huge hit if their produce were boycotted.
Don't forget, California is big in dairy products.
All perishable goods, it would hit them fast.

Hell, that shouldn't be hard. I can't FIND anything that's NOT made in China, anymore.

And while we're at it, contact every firearm manufacturer and let them know that they need to leave states that are anti-RKBA to get any further business from us.
I own two Remington guns and will be contacting them to let them know I will never buy another Remington if they continue to be stamped with "Ilion NY".

Sorry but "Empire State" have been changed to "The Iron Curtain"!

Might make you happy to know that some manufactures have decided to NOT do business with NY. They will not ship guns etc. to NY due to the complexity of the new law!! Many are we screwed!!!

Kimber is located in NY. I wonder how the new law is affecting them and what their plans are?
Wouldn't it be great if they just moved out of the state?

So what exactly did CZ do wrong? They're headquartered in KS. I get that Dan Wesson is in NY, but what did they do wrong also? Did either company, or any firearms company for that matter, support NY's new people control law?

I've got everything I need from CZ (I own two of their pistols). I've got enough spare parts to rebuild the innards of both my CZ weapons, but I'll tell ya what, if I break a firing pin or a recoil spring or something and have to use my spare parts, I'm replacing them. CZ has been very good to me. They gave me my choice of any handgun in their line when one of my RAMIs malfunctioned to the point of being irreparable. I took another RAMI because that's what I had already bought leather for etc., but anything in their line? That's a danged generous offer. I will not hold them responsible for what a tyrannical state government did on its own.

I don't know if it's true anymore, but at one time, CT had a butt-load of gun manufacturers in-state. They also have very restrictive gun laws (and are missing from the OP's list). Have had for years, same as CA, MA and NYC. So now NYS's oligarchy imposes unwanted gun (people) control laws on its citizens, and we're supposed to go out of our way to hurt gun manufacturers economically in states where nothing's changed for many years in some cases? I don't even get the logic of it. What's the point? I don't pay taxes to NYS when I order stuff from there. How does it hurt the state for me to boycott CZ or you to boycott Dan Wesson? It only hurts our favorite producers as far as I can figure.

I collect knives too, and I have a friend who is a well-known designer. His line is licensed to Ka-Bar, and they're in Olean, NY. Ka-Bar makes some of the finest knives with the best heat-treating for the price in the business, and every one of my friend's designs that they sell to distributors, he gets paid for while sitting in E. TN. You really think I'm going to jump on board a boycott that I can't even see how it hurts the state governments you're aiming it at, when it definitely would hurt companies that I know people at and personal friends of mine to boot?

Tell ya what guys, a boycott from outside the state is meaningless. All you're doing is hurting merchants and manufacturers who have done nothing wrong. A tax-strike from within the state would be plenty meaningful, but I don't think that's going to happen. It's up to NY'ers to spank their government, not the residents of 49 other states that those officials don't answer to in any way, shape, manner or form. Spanking all the workin' stiffs in the state sure doesn't seem like a good way to get them on the side of gun owners.

If BC1 or 2Awarrior or any other NY'er wants to explain how I'm looking at this wrong, I'll reconsider. Otherwise, I gotta say no thanks, I don't think I need any advice on who, what, how or where I should be doing business.

I agree.
The OP has good intentions but a bad idea. Results will be abstract and could be counter productive.

We do need to come up with a plan that will send our message to the anti's...

It's now Cuomo's and Bloombergs "empire", and we need to get working on changing that!

I say again...............ONLY RED STATES. Force the monkey back upon the shoulders it belongs on. It may take some time but they, the Blue States, gotta own the DOG squeeze they spew and vote for.
