On The Range With A New Shooter

I've never known of a "ladies only" gun class with male instructors.

The NRA Girls and Guns class wouldn't even allow me to sit around and watch when my wife signed up since I was the "wrong gender".

Well wolf we don't operate the " the NRA Girls & Guns ". I started a firearms training company to teach people how to shoot, the ladies only classes came about due to ladies in our area asking to do a ladies only class. Now I haven't met any female instructors in my area that I wanted to bring under my company so we don't currently have a female instructor however we have a prospect that was a student but had trained a lot and I'm trying to to talk her into becoming a instructor.

No biggie, I was just confused since you placed the "N R A" moniker on the OP. I didn't realize it was a private company class.

When we do NRA WOT events we don't allow male spouses or bfs either. The truth is most new women shooters get very nervous when the men they love are watching. Besides, I have found a lot of men lose patience quickly and are too judgmental so it's just better to keep the guys home.

We do have women instructors & coaches. But, when an event draws between 40-70 women, we need more men to help.

Yeah, my "all women" class was taught by a man. It wasn't until later that I found one that was actually taught by a woman... Planning to take lots of training from that place, though. Not just because of that, of course, but because they're very good and less expensive than most places.
