I applied in nj 5 years ago and was denied. I recently became double amputee so I'm in wheel chair , in nj does that justifies a need. I also have ccw permits in s.c and Florida . I need help with this cannt afford lawyer again.cost me 3,000 last time to get turned down. Thanks Rick

The mindset in New Jersey is that common citizens do not need to carry a hand gun, nor does the legal system want them to carry one. Save you money and move to Pennsylvania, where it is your right to carry as a law abiding citizen.

Not sure what to tell you there. Check out gunforhire.com & gunforhireradio.com. Its a NJ based shooting school and they do a weekly podcast.

Your right I moved to PA 2 years ago. Got my LTCF in 7 days and 25 bucks. NJ is unfriendly to gun owners.

Your in arguably the WORST state to get a permit it. I hate to say it but don't waste your money. Moving to a free state isn't a bad idea.

A carry permit in NJ? Can you hear me laughing??? Do what everyone else is suggesting, MOVE. After 45 yrs in NJ I am now in SC and I carry every day. You will not get a permit to carry in NJ.

I'm going to echo what everyone else has been saying .... go west to PA. It's a great state.
Here's also another reason to get out of NJ. Let's say you wind up being one of the few that the tyrannical state of NJ decides to award a carry permit to. You now are limited to firearms that hold only 10 rounds or less in them... in addition NONE of those rounds are allowed to be a hollow point. Therefore, if you do need to use your firearm, chances are the round will go through your aggressor, and then where??? I will not live or visit a state that has such an egregious stance on firearms and ammunition.
