never buying from cheaper than dirt

They just sent me an email saying mags in stock and all their mags are going for $80 for off brand 33 round glock mags and $60 for a simple Ruger mag. Don't even get me started on the 30 round tapco mags that are 3x their regular price
 

I am so on the same page. Price gouging pricks. They still won't sell ARs, claiming because they don't have stock while everyone else is getting in small shipments. They will never see another dollar from me.

In the price shopping I've done (pre-current gougefest), I didn't find CTD's prices to be all that great anyway. I'd rather buy from my local stores and support a local business that doesn't do opportunistic gouging. No one who is in "gouge mode" now will get any of my hard-earned $$ now or later.
 
I stopped doing business with them when they announced the suspension of weapons....I sent back a 500.00 order.


If you can't stand on principle, you can't stand at all!

I understand what you all are saying and if Cheaper than Dirt was to only institution to be price gouging I would go along but their NOT the only one. Now, I quit buying from them when they "Reavaluated" their so called policies. But don't just think that Cheaper is the only one that we're getting SCREWdriver-ed by. A lot of different companies are doing it too and not even offering us a kiss goodnight! LOL Just be ready to stop shopping at the others also is what I'm trying to say. Have a good one. I thought it was against the law to gouge prices above 10% above the past price that was listed for an item?
 
It's against the law to raise prices in time of emergency so the price of commodities can't go up. In regular times they can charge whatever they want. But let's be realistic. Even if the attack on 2A was considered an emergency, do you really think the same government that chose not to defend the defense of marriage act, would enforce a price gouging law on firearms distributors?
 
They were $12.95 when I bought 30 of them before all of the increases. Guess I won't be shopping there anymore, either.
 
Supply and demand. Get used to it.

The higher the demand for any particular commodity, the higher the price can be garnered. Simply supply side economics.

Two words..... market manipulation.

It's not supply and demand, you see all these ding dongs that are posting pictures of the stacks of mags and ammo they bought to try to flip. That is NOT supply and demand. That is an artificial bubble that I hope burst leaving the roster gooblers with huge dollar losses.

Still supply and demand. They have the supply and can demand what they want. Even if they bought to flip. If you find better prices somewhere else, buy it

Can't speak for you, Walt629, or Warbirds, but I am damn glad to have the firearms that I have and bought them BEFORE all this Socialist madness. Now on the other hand, I am just LIVID with myself for not buying more ammo.
 
Agreed. They are the worst price gouger I've ever seen. I replied to one of their emails saying I would never do business with them again. Haven't received an email since.
 
placed an order with another company for the same three items.

six dollars less on each item.

shipping was flat 5.97 compared to ctd wanting 14.81 for lowest shipping.

they are now in my spam list
 
YEP.... CTD .... had even stopped their "gun sales"..... so , the almight dollar and being PC to the Dem's, seem to be their priority. They are off my list to buy from now.

Their shipping costs ... has always been way higher than anyone else anyway. Their loss.
 
Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered. The market will correct itself(eventually) and those companies that got a little too fat will find the down hill slide painful when they realize the lost their once loyal customer base.
